EXT. SCHOOL - MORNING
Its HANNAH'S first day at Merriweather Academy, she is
incredibly nervous and doesn't know if she will be
expected walks up to the school gates not knowing what to
expect.
HANANH
(whispers)
I hope this goes well
Looks round the college site slowly, taking in all of the
surroundings, looking at all of the groups when someone
comes up to her.
STUDENT
Urm hi, you look kind of lost
HANNAH
Yeah, I'm new just trying to
find my way around.
VOICE OVER
Well clearly you are new or you
wouldn't be stood there like an
idiot
HANNAH
Urm, I'm gonna go
VOICE OVER
What a weirdo
INT. SCHOOL - CONTINUOUS
Frustrated, Hannah walks into the college looking for the
reception to collect her timetable. Then her phone starts
to ring, she answers and says.
HANNAH
Hello? Yes I'm here. Urm, yeah
very welcoming. Yep talk later.
Bye
RECEPTIONIST
(frowning)
I'm sorry Miss but you can't
accept calls during class times.
HANNAH
Oh I'm sorry! I'm new, it won't
happen again. My name is Hannah
Ross, I'm collecting my
timetable
Smiling, she checks her computer typing in her name then

prints off the timetable to give to Hannah.
RECEPTIONIST
Here you go Miss Ross, and
welcome to Merriweather Academy
I'm sure you will love it here
VOICE OVER
What a nice girl, I hope she
fits in well and doesn't drop
out like her last college
HANNAH
Urm, yeah thanks. I hope I do to
Hannah looks at her timetable and finds her first class
fairly easily, her hands slightly shaking from the nerves
she turns the door handle and walks in
TEACHER
Ah, you must be the new student,
Miss Ross, Hannah Ross is it?
HANNAH
Yes Miss that's me. Sorry I'm
late, had some trouble finding
my way
TEACHER
Well at least you are here now,
stand up here to introduce
yourself then go take a seat
Miss Ross
Scared to move, Hannah nods her head in understanding and
makes her way over to the front of the class and
introduces herself.
HANNAH
Hi, I'm Hannah Ross. I moved
here from Soham and I enjoy
Media and textiles and that's
about it
Hannah makes her way to her seat, feeling that all eyes
are on her she stares at her desk until a few moments have
past and decides that she wants to know what people think
of her just from her first impression
VOICE OVER
She seems nice. A bit shy. Great
another new kid. I wonder why
she changed colleges. Seems very
polite. She should make friends
soon.
Smiling at the fact no one has judged her apart from one

or two she lifts her head to the front of the class
wondering if things will be different this time.
