Optimizing for Multiple Customer Personas: How a recent test “broke the rules...MarketingExperiments
Standard rules of optimization often call for a single focus in writing the headline, body copy and even call-to-action. This works well when all of your visitors are interested in the same thing.
But, what do you do when you have to write copy for a page that serves multiple visitor types with varying interests?
In this Web clinic, Flint McGlaughlin, Managing Director, MECLABS, will reveal how copywriting and design impacts clicks and conversions on pages that serve highly diverse interests simultaneously.
He will address some of the most common questions related to managing the messaging:
• How many visitor types can I address on a single page?
• How do I choose which prospect to focus on?
• Are there any effective templates for managing multiple customers?
• How do I balance the divided attention?
• What copywriting mistakes are commonly made when writing for different personas?
Define your target customer group and improve the marketing activities of your company.
Highlight behaviors of your target audience with our customer and buyer persona templates. Create fictional profiles of your ideal customer and plan and initiate targeted marketing activities.

For ten years or more, China has been a uniquely powerful engine of the global economy, regularly posting high single-figure or even double-digit annual increases in GDP. More recently, growth has slowed, prompting sharp falls in international commodity prices and casting a shadow over the near-term prospects for developed and emerging markets.
What will happen next? Pessimists struggle to see what China can do for an encore after what they say was an extraordinary, one-off period of catching up. Optimists believe that during the next 10 to 15 years, China has the potential to continue to outperform the rest of the world and to take its place as a full-fledged advanced economy (see summary infographic, “What’s next for China?”).

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

44. If you have 300 followers on twitter, a good goal is to gain 30-50 more followers in first month/campaign (10–15% increase)
45. As the starting numbers get larger, the goals will get larger. Also, stress that there is usually an initial fast growth that will slow down after the first couple months – not to be discouraging, just realistic.
People who like a brand on Facebook, follow a brand on Twitter or subscribe to a brand’s email newsletter, are more likely to buy and recommend.Earning a Facebook Like, by hook or by crook, is a success, but it’s a success at a very tactical level. If I have a client with a campaign completely focused on getting Facebook Likes, I’ll do what I can to show that this tactic should be working towards a broader strategy (using Facebook to tell people about your brand), which in turn should drive towards a business goal (getting people to spend money on your brand). Far too often, I’ll see Facebook campaigns that are very successful at getting a lot of Likes during the campaign, but I’ll have no concept of what to say to people after the campaign is done. When you earn yourself a Facebook Like, you’ve successfully opened up a line of communication with a potential customer and his or her friends. What you communicate after that is where we should look for real lasting success. .
