Soichiro Honda was a Japanese inventor and industrialist who founded Honda Motor Company. Some of his achievements include inventing mopeds, motorcycles and cars. He started his career repairing bicycles and cars before opening his own workshop. After facing initial rejections, he invented piston rings which became very successful. This allowed him to open his own factory to produce mopeds. Honda later pioneered modern motorcycles and grew his company into a multibillion dollar business selling a wide range of vehicles and engines worldwide. He received many honors for his entrepreneurship and inventions before passing away in 1991.
