Why I Need Literature Analysis
I can admit whole heartedly that Literature has saved my life.
Looking back, I have chosen literature over a lot of things, sometimes it was my family and
friends whose views on education differed greatly from my own, but most often I was choosing
literature over temptation; which, seductively presented itself all over the extremely urban streets
of south central L.A. Temptation is the reason many of my old friends are in jail now and why I
am the only member in my family to have graduated from high school. It has taken many people
away from me, my friends and family who have turned to drugs to numb the woes of their inherit
circumstances and even my father who is still in jail, that I have yet to and may never meet.
Literature offered me companionship and a place to be understood. It was sanctuary, my nurturer. I
was introduced to James Baldwin, Langston ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Today, as the president of the literature club I am changing people s attitudes towards reading and
writing and cultivating a community of readers and writers on campus. Through the club I am
able to act as an instructor on many different genres and styles of literature. There I most often
choose pieces of literature that would allow members to analyze another era of time and
understand the struggles of that time through the literature; as well as, other forms of literature
like movie scripts, music lyrics, and comic books to promote the diversity of literature in its many
contemporary forms. Through events like book drives and poetry slams we are able to reach out
to people, who aren t even necessarily English majors, and watch as literature enhances their lives
as they voice their angst with society through their poetry. The workshops I ran on poetry and
creative writing as a means of self expression allowed me to analyze many peoples work while
improving my poetry just by teaching

The Military Is Too Big For Our Country
If you had to go into the military, why would you do it? For the money and the benefits, or to be a
proud American and serve our country? There are many people who go into the military to do bare
minimum as long as they receive their benefits, including free college tuition. Then there are types
of people who join because they wantto do well for America. The militaryshould only consist of
people who want to be patriotic to their country rather than use the government for their benefits
and money. Better soldiers come from ones that are motivated to serve and protect our country. We
needto have a military for the sake of safety and being protected from terrorists, other countries,
and for humanitarian reasons. There is a problem with the military not paying much attention to
quantity versus quality. The military is too big for the jobs that they have. It needs to consist of
better quality soldiers instead of focusing on have the world s largest military. A lot goes into
recruitment as well, but maybe not enough. The different motives of soldiers play a role on the
outcome of them in the end, and what makes them the best for that position. Different recruitment
methods could give the military better quality soldiers. Depending on the people s motives, you
can have lazy soldiers, or soldiers that will give it their all. Recruitment can weed out the lazy
soldiers and give America better quality soldiers. The military is crucial for this country, and it

Difference Between Marketing Strategies of Physical and...
Slide One: The potential impact, in marketing terms, of the e business unit on the bricks and mortar
university is enormous. Oblinger (2001) has argued that, for a number of reasons, distance learning
has the potential to develop a truly global university. The exchanges between the business and the
customer are streamlined by the lack of physical barriers, and this can allow the school to transcend
international borders. The current physical school can only market within the United States, and
must bring students to the school physically. This limits the growth potential of the school. In
contrast, the e businesselement allows for marketingall around the world. The school can develop
curriculum for a number of different countries in order to build local businesses, all through the
centralized website. In addition, the school can train professionals all around the world for
careers in the US, Canada, the UK or other nations. This broadens the pool of potential health care
practitioners considerably, something that benefits all Western nations, most of which face a
shortage of qualified health care workers. The school will adhere to high level standards, so that
its degrees are widely recognized. There will also need to be policies in place that facilitate the
learning of students from all over the world, so that the environment is healthy and supportive for
all.
On a practical level, the school can facilitate real time learning by developing features and
mechanisms that

African Racism In Pan Africanism In The 19th Century
Pan Africanism was a philosophical, economic and sociocultural call for unity between Africans
and the diaspora that gained popularity in the 19th century. The aim of the movement was to resist
physical and symbolic domination exerted by capitalist powers and overturn the social hierarchies
established by the forces of slavery, racism, and colonialism in Africa and abroad. The idea behind
including the African diaspora in Pan Africanist efforts is due not only to the common history that
connects them but to a common plight rooted in the same racism experienced by Africans and
people of African descent. United, African Nations would have the socio political and economic
strength to compete on the world stage and the power to redefine the narratives illustrating
blackness in an Eurocentric society within a Eurocentric world. Among the black leaders that
represented Pan Africanism were W.E.B DuBois and Marcus Garvey, political advocates different,
and almost opposing, in their methods but similar in their belief in the need for African solidarity in
order to reassert African pride and humanity from neo colonial subjugation. Pan Africanism gained
institutional legitimacy with the founding of the African Association in London and the
international attention gained by the various congresses that called for multinational participation,
both highlighted the priorities of Africans dispersed throughout the world by asserting themselves
as a solidified political entity with aims and

Comparing What s Eating Gilbert Grape, And Shawshank Red
The three movies What s Eating Gilbert Grape, Of Mice and Men, and Shawshank Redemption
all have separate themes and ideas that revolve around particular characters. However, one clear
intention that all of the following movies are trying to send across, is to be generally a better
person. Gilberts mom, Lennie, and Brooks are all characters that struggle in some way and also
all end dejectedly bad. These problems that the characters face could have all been resolved in a
solemn manner if people did not judge others by their appearance but by their morals, if people
were there for each other even if they re frustrated by them, finally if they did not jump to rash
decisions and not give up. To start with, society has been rather harsh on those who are obese ,

Nobody Like Me Analysis
iHeart is a street artist from Vancouver who has a series of paintings that all point out a specific
issue: the effect that social media has on the youth. Today, many people post images and
comments on social media with a goal to get as many likes and new followers as you can. As
you can see, the painting above is of a young boy that looks to be between the ages of four and
eight. Above his head is an Instagram notification bar containing the symbols that stand for zero
comments, zero likes, and zero followers . The little boy seems to be upset at the fact that he has
no notifications. The title Nobody Likes Me draws attention to the problem that young children are
looking to social media for acceptance. This search for acceptance through... Show more content on

Social media is one of the key tools of communication and socialization. It allows teens and
children to stay connected with friends and family and serves as a platform to share ideas (O
Keeffe 801). Social media profiles can also serve as a container that fosters one s individual
identity and unique social skills (O Keeffe 801). There are also some social media platforms
used in educational institutions. For example, some middle and high school teachers use
Edmodo an online website designed to resemble a social media profile as a teaching tool. These
sites have the benefit of reinforcing skills in English, written expression, and creativity (O Keeffe
801). Popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter allow students to
meet and collaborate ideas for school assignments (O Keeffe 801). Even though too much social
media exposure can have a negative effect on a child s growing identity, there are a few apps that
provide options that allow children to approach identity formation more thoughtfully (Parry). While
extensive use of social media can isolate children and adolescents from their societies, Parry states
that there are online communities that provide children and teens with self disclosure and a feeling
of belonging. Social media also serves as a good source of news information. It allows the youth to
stay tuned into the things that are going on in the world around them, both online and

Lab Report Diffusion
In our first unit of honors chemistry, we learned many different concepts through the application
or the completing of experiments. This way we were able to witness different things and create
our own conclusions about our three different labs. After each lab, we critical thought about what
we observed and what these observations meant. In this way, we were truly able to learn and
understand the purposes of the labs and other concepts that were expressed in each lab. Some of
the concepts that we learned included the difference between an observation and an inference, what
does diffusion do, what is the difference between a physical change and a chemical change, and
how does energy affect a reaction. These many different concepts came up many... Show more

A chemical change is an irreversible reaction that involves the changing of the substances
chemical properties and results in the creation of a new substance. A physical change is a
change that affects the physical aspects or form of the substance, but not tis chemical
properties. This type of reaction can be reversed and a completely new substance is not formed.
So, to know if a chemical change has taken place the many thing to look for is if a new substance
is created from the reaction. Experiments can be tested to make sure that no form of a chemical
change has taken place if a person is unsure about whether a reaction is physical or chemical.
One way that a person could test to make sure the reaction was not a chemical one is to simply
see if a product has been produced. If there was a substance created from the reactants coming in
contact with each other, then the change was a chemical one. Then, if you are unsure of if a
product was created, then you could view the molecules of the reactants under an electron
microscope to see if they changed from their original form and their chemical properties. Finally,
if you are still completely unsure of if the reaction was chemical, then you could go through a
series of ways that may undo the reaction because if the change can be reversed then it is a
physical change. So, when applying these ways that can confirm that there is no

The Law Of Obligation And The Criminal Law
The English system law has been described as a common law rather than a civil law system. To
begin with, there is a significant difference between the civil and criminal law. On the one hand,
the purpose of the civil law will be to settle disputes between private s parties. On the other hand,
criminal law is the body of law that punish criminal offenses and protect the innocent.
In order to complete our essay, we will first focus on the fact that a link clearly exists between
tort and contract law. The law of tort and contract are part of the law of obligations . They are
indeed similar in nature, but, a sharp distinction can t be denied, while obligations in contract law
are set by the parties themselves, obligations in tort are set by the law. The law of obligation is a
branch of the civil law legal system.
Hence the idea, that similarities and differences can be demonstrate between the law of obligation
and the criminal law.
Firstly, both contract and tort law are both delimited by obligations and usually deal with a duty
that has been breached. Liabilities are part of the civil liability responsibility.
The nature of obligation in a contractual relationship is established by the terms of the contract.
The parties must respect their duties or liabilities arising out of the obligation undertaken by the
contract. A breach of contract is a breach of a legal obligation. In tort law, the nature of the
obligation is not agreed between the parties, but arises by virtue

When we compare the works of Shakespeare s Macbeth and Robert Browning s The Laboratory
the audience will find many similarities between the strong feelings towards the act of murder
which are evident. Although both texts are written in different forms of literature Shakespeare s
Macbeth being in the form of a play and The Laboratory being in the form of a poetic monologue
both texts use powerful imagery and language carefully to evoke strong perceptions from the
audience.

The woman uses these words to describe her desire because they are describing valuable and
exotic things which many typical Victorian females would find desirable. The sibilance in tastes
sweetly also helps to show her desire as it sounds quite sinister as though she is speaking through

number of items to sneak in the poison and she imagines how the woman will drink it and die.
To carry pure death in an earring, a casket, a signet, a fan mount, a filligree basket! .Her plan

Soon, at the King s , this supports the idea that she believes she can get away with it but also that

Another strong emotion that is clear in both Macbeth and The Laboratory is that of paranoia. Both
Macbeth and the female protagonist are paranoid; Macbeth becomes paranoid after he kills King
Duncan and as a result of his paranoia he kills his closest friend Banquo, whereas the woman, on
the other hand, is paranoid before she kills as she focuses on the idea that her lover and his

Essay on Analysis of The Revolt of Mother
Analysis of The Revolt of Mother
The Revolt of Mother by Mary Wilkins Freeman, was a story of a woman who lived in New
England around or before the author s time. The mother, Sarah Penn, was kept out of the families
decisions by the father, Adoniram Penn, until one event that lead to her taking drastic actions while
her husband was gone. There are many religious symbols and actions taken by Mother within the
story. Through the story Sarah moved from a feeling of servitude to her husband, to a feeling that
she was in servitude to the Lords will and this led her, in the end, to hold power over her husband.

Sarah, on the other hand, is an interpreter of the Lords will.
Sarah comes to the conclusion that she is doing the Lords will when she declared the new
maxim for her self. She now believed that Unsolicited opportunities are the guideposts of the
Lord to the new roads of life . She knows that this is an unsolicited opportunity because she had
nothing to do with Hiram sending notice of a good horse to father. It is also known that Sarah
believes she is doing by the Lords will because it is a providence to her; which is taken as her
having divine foresight. This foresight comes from her being a new spirit.
The sense that she is a new spirit is implied when she states, I ve let the fire go out (528). Even
though she is talking about the stove, it is taken that it is a fire inside of her. The fire, which is
a means of destruction and chaos, was burning up her soul. And now that it was out a new spirit
could take over. The new spirit is also seen by Nanny when she tremble(s), as if it were a ghost
(528). This ghost that she feels is representative of the new spirit that has embodied mother.
Because of this new feeling both Sammy and Nanny seem to become something of religious
followers to her.
The children as religious followers to Sarah are first clearly seen through the observation that There

Difference Between Contract Of Service And Service
For some people, there is no difference between a contract of service and a contract for services,
as long as they are employed. But, in essence, there is a difference between the two. A contract
of service is a contract whereby a person engaged in a service employer is engaged in a contract,
as well as a contract and the work of the employer to indicate that the work and contract for
services to be completed is defined as a contractual arrangement, person agrees to provide to
another person s employer or employee. The person providing the service is an independent
contractor. Independent self employed persons provide their skills, tools and human resources
independently, and do not work on the other person without supervision. It is said that a contract
for services has been signed. Contrary to a contract of service as a labor contract, the contract
for services is a commercial contract. The apparent distinction between the contract of service
and the contract for services : the self employed or the self employed person who provides or
provides the service fee or service fee is based on the contract for service. He is not a single person

The Failure Of Sighet Jews Essay
Describe the failure of Sighet Jews to anticipate Nazi terrorism. The Jews of Sighet were of
disproving failure to anticipate Nazi terrorism in reason of two factors: disbelief by doubt and
ignorant fear within themselves and their community of Hitler s extermination strategy. In Night,
the author introduces his life as a teenager and his relations with Moshe the Beadle, a shtibl who
would joyfully about the Kabbalah and its mysterious revelations and guide him into studying such
esoteric tradition, but then drone endlessly about his abhorrent experience of being imprisoned as
a deportee. Unfortunately, no matter how much he spoke of it, his words became dust as they left
his mouth and had blown in A calming, reassuring wind (Wiesel, 6). The people of Sighet bypassed
Moshe s warning signal simply by not taking him seriously, and Wiesel verifies this expression in
page 7, presuming how everyone refused to believe his tales and ...to listen, which led them in
believing that that he wanted their pity...was imagining things... and had gone mad . This doubt
provoked the inconvenience of Moshe s hopes to inform his people as a preliminary to an
impending event. Wiesel later notes about the ignorant temper that everyone, including himself,
showed towards Hitler s upcoming massacre; they felt that they were in the abstract and The

Endothormic And Exothermic Reactions In Chemistry
When lighting a candle, one does not ruminate about how the candle flame is an exothermic
process. In actuality, there are endothermic and exothermic reactions happening all around at
various times. Before proceeding, one should know that exothermic reactions are ones in which
energy is released. They can be discerned by reaction giving off heat, such as the example of the
candle flame expelling vapor. Endothermic reactions are reactions where energy is absorbed. One
can detect an endothermic reaction by, for example, touching a beaker in which a reaction occurs
that becomes cool. The changes in temperature, both endothermic and exothermic, lead to the idea
of enthalpy. This is defined as the difference between the potential energies of products from
reactants, and is shown as О”H. When a reaction produces heat the value for enthalpy will be
negative, and when it s absorbed it will be positive. The relationship of the transfer of heat between
the system and surroundings can be used to determine the enthalpy change reaction by using the
equation q=mCО”T. This can be accurately measured by using the process of Calorimetry. This is
a method to measure heat by observing the temperature change when a body absorbs or discharges
energy as heat. It is useful since it insulates the reaction, and the only measurable change will
originate from the water in the reaction. The spontaneity of a reaction depends on the values for
enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy. Entropy is the

Reflection On The Annexation Of Hawaii
Analytical Just the other day, we learned about the annexation of Hawaii in our history class. I
started to think a little too much about the whole situation with the United States. I came up with
this theory that MAYBE Hawaii is going to overthrow the U.S. government just as we did to their
Queen Liliuokalani in 1893. My theory is strengthened by the fact that Hillary Clinton, in the recent
U.S. election, received Hawaiis four electoral votes. This could possibly prove that Hawaii wants
the U.S. to have a woman president and then overthrow us. We overthrew Hawaii s government
when they were under a woman s power, thus they would want to do the same. I believe I am
very analytical because I love analyzing and creating theories, I lie in bed and think about life, and

both subject to disrespectful treatment by their husbands. During the 1930s 1940s, it s viewed
as abnormal and looked down on to separate from one s spouse. Janie however breaks this
stereotype, marrying three different men; while Stella tries to keep her dying relationship alive.
Throughout the novels, Janie and Stella display a constant submissive behavior whenever told to
do something, even when being abused physically or mentally by their spouse. Despite the
various times Stanley beats Stella, her love for Stanley is blinding as she doesn t mind his temper
and considers it as passion; while Janie acts submissive to Joe, to avoid both his physical and
verbal abuse. Although Stella and Janie s voice throughout both novels are quite passive, Janie
advocates more for herself than Stella. Initially Janie was raised in a impecunious African American
household by her grandmother. She was taught from a young age that marriageequals love and that
women depend on men for financial security. Janie wanted a love sweet...lak when you sit under
a pear tree (29) but instead receives Logan, a man who wants her to chop and tote wood and
calls her spoilt rotten. (31) Janie was stuck to succumb to these expectations when she was with
Logan. However, Janie s second marriage begins with a personal choice that Janie makes to leave
Logan and follow Jody, a man whose plan was to build a town all outa colored folks and become a
leader in the new city. Just the fact that she left her first husbandwas a very bold move, but the
profound point is that Janie chooses to get together with another man. Janie expresses her true
feelings and voice by leaving Logan and telling him that he ain t done [her] no favor by marryin
[her.] This displays that Janie s views on marital expectations have took a turn and she will no
longer be put under this illusion of a perfect womanduring this time period. However this newly

Ministry And Gifts Of The Holy Spirit
Ministry and gifts of the Holy Spirit Ministry and the gifts of the Holy Spirit seem to be
something that a lot of the church have forgotten about. Of course if you were raised
Pentecostal, this is something you might be rather familiar with. However, I have ever heard
anybody speak in tongues being raised in a Nazarene Church, and I was very un familiarized
with these gifts. It wasn t until I was sixteen years old that I actually heard anyone speak in
tongues. I had never heard about gifts such as prophecy, Different kind of tongs, are The
interpretation of tongs. Speaking in tongues was something that was perceive to be scary. You
didn t hear of people being healed, or if you did it seemed hush hush, but I remember the church
speaking a lot about was the gift of faith. In my research of several different places, internet and
books, I have found some interesting breakdowns of the gifts of the Spirit. Ways that I had never
heard of before, that actually were quite good. So there are nine gifts laid out in 1 Corinthians
12:8 10. These are: 1.Words of wisdom ~ ability to make decisions and give guidance that is
according to God s will. 2.Words of knowledge ~ ability to have an in depth understanding of
spiritual issues or situations...resulting in bringing wisdom and guidance. 3.Faith ~ An unmovable
trust in God that results in encouraging others to trust God more, no matter what the circumstances.

Sport 7 Year Study
Is enough emphasis being placed on injury prevention in sports at a junior level in Australia?
The conclusion of a 7 year study in Victoria in 2010, found that children aged 15 and under were
5.4 times more likely to be hospitalised for sports related injuries than for road traffic injuries .
This is cause for major concern amongst the junior sporting population of Australia, with a
significant increase in sports related hospitalisations nationally each year. Eccentric factors such as
overtraining and early specialisation have been linked to this rise. In the absence of a national
sporting injury prevention body and subsequent national injury prevention policy, associations and
sporting clubs may be ill equipped to deal with this extensive ... Show more content on

Excess weight, especially obesity, is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes,
some musculoskeletal conditions and some cancers. In Australia, 25% of children and 63% of
adults are overweight . Yet up to 545,000 Australians have reported to have a long term health
condition caused by a sport/exercise related injury ; inhibiting their ability to maintain a healthy
level of physical activity and combat rising obesity rates. It is thought that more than half of these
injuries are linked to a similar injury occurrence in youth. This proves that injuries at a junior level
have long term consequences that can affect one s physical health and morality in adulthood. The
ASC and Department of Health are both reshaping their current physical activity programs to focus
on participation at all ages. And with physical inactivity costing the Australian economy about
$13.8 billion annually ... , current injury prevention policy needs prioritisation as the health and
financial burden of obesity in Australia rises. 184

Essay Transmission, Treatment and Prevention of Salmonella
Transmission, Treatment and Prevention of Salmonella
Abstract
Salmonella is a gram negative rod, which is known to infect humans, birds, and other mammals by
invading and irritating the intestines. It is more common in poultry and swine which, if consumed,
can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. The infectious disease can be found
almost everywhere and anywhere, including in water, animal feces, raw poultry, and raw seafood.
Animals consume salmonella from the soil or contaminated processed feed. In humans, salmonella
can lead to a developing typhoid like fever that persists among other symptoms. However, there is
no vaccine available for Salmonella but no treatment is needed because the infection is usually

The transmission of Salmonella is primarily oral. Food is the vehicle of spread. (Rieman, Hans, and
Frank L Bryan) Animals can consume salmonella from the soil or contaminated processed feed.
Domestic animals, such as chickens, cattle, pigs, dogs, cats, and especially reptiles, are great
carriers for salmonella. On the other hand, humans usually get a Salmonella infection though the
ingestion of food contaminated with animal feces or infected animal products. Salmonella bacteria
are mostly found in food products such as eggs, meat products, poultry, unpasteurized dairy
products, and cheese. (Salmonella Infection) The bacteria can also be found in water and can be
spread if consumed. Salmonella present on raw meat and poultry could survive if the product is not
cooked to the safe minimum internal temperature, as measured with a food thermometer
(Salmonella Infection). Salmonella could also become present on otherwise ready to eat foods such
as salad through food to food contact or cross contamination (when contaminated food comes into
contact with clean food therefore passing the bacteria and thus infecting said food). Another, rarer
form of salmonella, typhoidal salmonella, is carried only by humans and is usually transmitted
through direct contact with the fecal matter of an infected person. This kind of salmonella infection
can lead to

Outline Of The Implementation Plan
Implementation Plan According to CDC, each year estimated about 250,000 cases of central
line associated bloodstream infection on happens in United States. The average cost of
treatment of this CLABSIs are 25,000 dollar per episode. CLABSI is the third most common
health care associated infections per Health and Human Service. And also there is reported about
500 to 4000 patients death related to CLABSI in US. CLABSI are preventable but there are need
to be much education and resources needed. The central line associated infections are classified as
exit site infection or tunnel infection. Nurses are the key health care personnel work with Central
lines at the bedside. Nurses play a key role in assessment and prevention and management of these
lines to avoid infection. Nurses working with lines must be educated on the importance of infection
prevention and held to a high standard on infection control. The most important step to avoid or
decrease the central line associated infection is to develop and implement the Central line bundle.
Central bundle is considered as the guidelines for central line insertion and maintenance. The
guidelines consist of maximal barrier precautions on insertion and dressing change. In order to be

Introduction
The movement of water molecules across a semi permeable membrane is the process of osmosis. If
there is a solute and a solvent, each containing different concentration levels, then the water would
move along its concentration gradient until each side of the membrane are equal. The water moves
because the membrane is impermeable to the solute and the solute concentrations may differ on
either side of the membrane. Water molecules may move in and out of the cell, but there is no net
diffusion of water. Water will move in one direction or the other, and this is determined by the
solute or solvents concentration levels. If the two solutions are of equal concentrations, they will be
isotonic. If the concentrations are unequal, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Do Actions Speak Louder Than Words In King Lear
Shakespeare shows that actions speak louder than words, and that one should not give up their
power to another. Shakespeare does this by showing that even though two of King Lear s
daughters said they loved him they still refused to obey him, and by showing that giving up all of
your power is the same as being a nobody. Through the play King Lear, Shakespeare shows how
one should not be judged based on words, but by their actions. Goneril told King Lear that she
loves him more than words can wield the matter (line 53 54). This quote shows that King Lear s
oldest daughter says that she loves him, and the King believes this and gives half his kingdom to
her. Later in the play the King is told by the fool that he has borest thy ass on thy back o er the dirt
which is when the King starts to realize that his daughters, two of which were given half of the
kingdom, lied to him when they told him they loved him because they only wanted the kingdom
(line 157). The two daughters of the King show their true colors when they show their father they
lied to him, showing that just because someone says one thing they can do another.... Show more

that the King s daughters control the land they can tell their father, the King, what to do. To the

What will it cost to shorten the project by as many weeks as possible?
The project can be shortened by 6 weeks maximum.
Based on the crash time for 6 activities (A3 A4 A7and B2 B5 B6), we can come up with the new
numbers of weeks that each activity needs.
According to the critical path we already found, we could see that B9 is an important activity.
Once it was changed, B6 changed. So we also need
to find how A5 B3 B8 changed.
The crash of B5, B6 leaded to the change of A4 and A5 (17,21), so the crash of A3 is invalid; The
crash of B2 leaded to the change of C5, so B8 became (18,22); B2 changed B3 to (11.21). Then the
time of B9 changed to (22,30). Since the earliest time for B9 is 22 anyway, and we crashed
B5, B6 for one week each to make it s final time 21, we could cancel
B6 s crash for its higher cost.
Then we finally crash A7 for 2 weeks. so the final time for A8 was 46 followed by calculating.
The total cost to shorten the project is

Theme Of The Signalman And The Signalman
In Gothic Literature, writers are able to choose between traditional and contemporary. This style of
writing typically relates back to fiction that gives an atmosphere of uncertainty by featuring horror,
death, curses or the supernatural. In The Signalman written by Charles Dickens, we can depict that
his writing falls under the category of traditional gothic literature as he chooses to stress the fear of
the unknown whether it be the setting or the supernatural. On the contrary, Roald Dahlwho wrote

Dickens characters insanity can be seen in the quote How your imagination misleads you because
once the Signalman saw the individual that appeared to him, his mind began racing with thoughts

what it was and why it seemed to warn him, and this ultimately led to his demise. By zooming in on

drowned him and how failing to control his sanity led to his downfall, and later, his death.
Additionally, the quote May have been infection in his mind similarly shows us how the appearance
of the individual almost triggered this thought that infected his mind and rid him of thoughts that
were unperturbed. He thought that he was seeing things, and not experiencing them, and because of
that, he had a strenuous yet continuous fight with his judgment and let it overcome him easily. By

character does have her tragic moments. At the end of act four, Ania refers to her mother as to

Since Chekhov did not belong to the ranks of the Ranevsky family, unlike other authors who had

one after the other like they did with some of queens greatest hits. I think that the rock band
queen has a great impact on me because their songs were played by my family at parties, around
the house, at family reunions. If my family played their songs then that means that they were fun
to listen to and kid friendly and not like some of the songs we have in today s generation with all
the bad language and drugs being mentioned. Queen is the type of band that can be listened to
with family. Some history moments for the band were when Queen formed in 1971 and in 1973
signed their first recording contract for EMI. That year they released their first album, Queen. The
same year saw their first major UK tour, and in 1974 they released Queen II as well as making
their first UK headlining tour. They made their first u.s tour, and in

Feminism In The Merchant Of Venice
In the society of Venice, the social system called patriarchy is quite ordinary. The feminist
literary criticism attempts to analyze patriarchies, where men hold the majority of power, while
women are denied access of it. In the sought after play called, The Merchant Of Venice, by
William Shakespeare, women are treated unequally to men. Furthermore, women are not
allowed to choose their own husbands as well as given a chance to solve legal disputes. As
proven in the play, the patriarchal society of Venice over rules women. When men failed to use
compassion in their society, women are able to solve problems by getting involved. A man
named Bassanio from Belmont is in love with a woman named Portia who comes from Venice.
In order to impress Portia, he is in dire need of money. Bassanio looks to his friend Antonio who
is able to receive a loan from a man named Shylock in Venice. When Antonio fails to pay back the
money, he must in return give a piece of his flesh away. Although Antonio made a deal with
Shylock, the men fail to recognize how painful it would be if they were to sacrifice their own
flesh. This discrepancy calls for capable women who can bring in a sense of compassion for
Antonio. Although limited by their society, Portia and Nerissa decide they have the power to
create a resolution. This leads the women to dressing up as men in order to have a say in the case.
While trying to settling the dispute, Shylock continues to refuse anything short of the

Kumar Sambhav
Kumarsambhav :the birth of war god
KumДЃrasambhava is a Sanskrit epic poem by KДЃlidДЃsa; the first eight cantos (sargas) are
accepted as his authorship [1], the last nine may be later additions. The period of composition is
uncertain, Kalidasa is thought of as having lived in the 5th c. AD.
Kumarsambhava is widely regarded as one of Kalidasa s finest works, a paradigmatic example of
KДЃvya poetry. The style of description of spring set the standard for nature metaphors pervading
many centuries of Indian literary tradition[
KumДЃrasambhava literally means Birth of Kumara , i.e. Kartikeya. This epic of seventeen cantos
entails Shringara Rasa, the rasa of love, romance, and eroticism, more than Vira rasa (the rasa of
heroism). Tarakasur, a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mild, pleasant breeze began to blow from the south. Flowers were sprinkling down from Ashoka
trees. Birds and the bees began to savor the fresh flower of the young mango leaves.
But all this would not deter Lord Shiva from his penance. Kama went there. Shiva was doing his
penance sitting on a tiger skin under a Devadaru tree. Kama was overwhelmed on seeing the
exquisite grace of Lord and the cupid s bow and arrow fell down without his being aware of it. At
this time, Parvati arrived on the scence to attend to her daily chores of service to the Lord. She
wore a saree colored like the bright red rays of the Sun. Nice spring flowers adorned her plait. A
diamond chain shone on her forehead. Her gait was like that of a delicate flower creeper.
This great beauty of Parvati inspired Kama, who hitherto was somewhat, dejected, again to
strive to fulfil his task. Parvati raised her hands to offer her garland of lotus flowers to Shiva
who also eagerly came out of his penance to accept the offering. Kama was waiting for such a
moment and exercised his sword of love . Shiva eyed Parvati once and immediately realised that he
had been weaned away. From his penance. How could this happen?
Kama, Cupid, was ready with his and arrow for action.
Lord Shiva was angry and opened his Third Eye. A great fire flowed forth. Kama was burnt to
ashes and Shiva then disappeared. Rati, seeing her husband destroyed collapsed unconscious.
Parvati s father sorrowfully took her to his home.

Theories Of Emile Durkheim
Historical Figure Emile Durkheim
Marcia M. Lucchesi
Plainwell High School
Sociology is the study of how people react within their social group. When studying sociology
you have to be able to research one a group of people or an individual on their behavior and what
they think. That is exactly what Emile Durkheim did. Emile Durkheim was one of many French
sociologist was interested in sociology and some philosophy. One of the biggest studied he
conducted was why people committed suicide and what caused it. He had many other studies and
believed that sociology plays a part of how we act in situations. Which he believed could play a part
in why people do commit suicide.
When Emile Durkheim s was younger Ashley Crossman said that his family were jewish and had
sent him to a religious school to learn his faith however he did not want his religion to be forced
upon him and would rather learn it from a scientific approach. Even when he was growing up he

Jon Witt was explaining how Emile Durkheim concluded that since Denmark had a higher rate of
protestants in their country that it was why they had a higher suicide rate as well. That was not the
only factor he looked at though he also looked at individuals marriage status, if they have had
children or not, and their sex so that also can affect their behavior.
Overall, the studies that Emile Durkheim were important because it explains and tells why
people commit suicide. Not only that but it is also important because we still use his study in
sociology today by studying social groups and interactions. We can see a difference in people
who are more social and people who are more independant and it plays a role in our daily lives by
affecting our behavior and thoughts.

Aboriginal Discrimination And Aboriginal People
Overview
For many centuries the original inhabitants of Canada, the Aboriginals, have suffered at the hands
of the government. From unrightly abducting their land to racial discrimination and forcing them to
comply with Euro Canadian culture, Indigenous people had every right to be enraged. Indigenous,
or Aboriginal people is a title given to the original settlers and their descendants of North America.
Indians (or First nations), Metis and Inuit, are 3 groups of distinct peoples with unique histories,
languages, cultural practices and spiritual beliefs, and it is unfair to call them one. In Canada today,
more than 1.7 million people identify themselves as an Aboriginal person. Amongst the many first
nations communities here in Canada, The Algonquin people are the most recognized since their
historic land deal with the federal and provincial government back in October 2016. Originally
living in southern Quebec and eastern Ontario, today, Algonquin people have adapted to living in
urban communities across these areas. Due to the changing in lifestyle, aboriginal people have had
to adjust. To them land is much more than something you buy and own, it s the thing that governs
their spirituality intertwining their lives deeply with nature. With a switch in the way they feed
themselves, clothes themselves, and protect themselves, it is destined for them to feel a sense of
emptiness in their hearts. Most of Crown owned land has still to be returned today, and the loss of

Newsreels During The Second World War
Newsreels, five minute recordings depicting around four stories kept on a reel, were widely
produced across Western countries between approximately 1910 and 1967 (Boyer, 2015). In this
time, news corporations were founded and developed, and while this brought new possibilities to
broadcasting and documenting information, there were multiple limitations including cumbersome
equipment and censorship (Aspects of Britain; Broadcasting, 1993). This time also saw several
important historic events, such as the Great War later known as World War One 1914 to 1918, the
Spanish Civil War 1936 to 1939, and World War Two 1939 to 1945 (McKernan, 2000)
The first British newsreel was issued in June 1910; the weekly Pathe s Animated Gazette. By 1912,
it would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This suggests that newsreels before the beginning of the Second World War are useless as sources
for history, as their information gathering was mediocre and unreliable.
In the 1960 s, audio visual technology was becoming easier to manoeuvre and access. The
Vietnam War, dubbed The Living Room War , was the first war to be recorded and broadcast
directly into people s homes (Hallin, unknown), with televisions having been on the rise since the
1950 s (Television in the 1950 s, unknown). It is this rise of television that cause the newsreel to
become obsolete in 1967 (Schoenherr, 2008).
It appears from this analysis and these sources that newsreels are not a strong, reliable source for
history, due to a lack of policies, faked footage, cumbersome technology and other difficulties.
However, this is not to say that newsreels don t reflect values and trends of the time, or that
newsreels are completely useless. Without newsreels and their potentially unethical practices,
broadcasting news corporations such as the BBC would not have developed into the large, global
organisations that they are today. And, as with most history sources, newsreels can easily be used
as an easily accessible base before conducting further, cross referencing research, as is often used by

Karl Marx s Sociological Perspective
Karl Marx (May 5, 1818 March 14,1883) is considered one of the most influential sociologist who
ever lived. He first attended the University of Bonn but after getting arrested, his parents enrolled
him in the University of Berlin. Where his sociological career began when he joined a club called
The Young Hegelians. In this club they would criticize political and cultural establishments. He
became a journalist and his writings got him expelled from Germany, France, and even Belgium. In
1848 Marx published The Communist Manifesto and then in 1867 he published Das Kapital. He
continued to write other papers but he couldn t finish them because he died in 1883. History.com

Benokraitis. (2012). SOC.(pg. 14). Belmont,CA. Linda Schreiber Ganster Karl Marx thought
that conflict would be the effect of inequality in the economy. He got this from the idea of
capitalism, where he saw industrial society composed of three social classes. The first class
would be the Capitalists, which are the owners of factories or basically anyone who owns a
company that produces a lot of wealth. The next class would be the petit bourgeoisie, which are
below the capitalists. They own their own company but can be driven out by the capitalists so
they might end up as the next social class. The proletariat. They re basically the working class
and who survive on their wages. Conflict within these classes are mainly because the capitalists
would have so much money and the workers would barely be making by. So the proletariats
would rise up and there would be a revolution. It related to this time period because it was a bit
after the industrial revolution and that was what Karl Marx was really focusing on. Nijole V.

The Cause Of The Catastrophe Analysis
The Cause of the Catastrophe , was a Newspaper article written in a paper called the Halifax
Herald, two days after the Halifax explosion, on December 8th 1917. The source comes directly
from Halifax, referencing key issues that came as consequences of the explosion. This article is
aimed towards other Canadian citizens, as the Halifax Herald was a local newspaper (Now
called the Chronicle Herald , a newspaper that covers all of Nova Scotia), looking to simply
spread information to citizens of Halifax and discuss the destruction that ensued two days prior.
While this article comes from a primary and reputable source, it does include a small amount of
bias when explaining the cause of the explosion. They reference both; that the oncoming Belgian

  • 2. Why I Need Literature Analysis I can admit whole heartedly that Literature has saved my life. Looking back, I have chosen literature over a lot of things, sometimes it was my family and friends whose views on education differed greatly from my own, but most often I was choosing literature over temptation; which, seductively presented itself all over the extremely urban streets of south central L.A. Temptation is the reason many of my old friends are in jail now and why I am the only member in my family to have graduated from high school. It has taken many people away from me, my friends and family who have turned to drugs to numb the woes of their inherit circumstances and even my father who is still in jail, that I have yet to and may never meet. Literature offered me companionship and a place to be understood. It was sanctuary, my nurturer. I was introduced to James Baldwin, Langston ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There I most often choose pieces of literature that would allow members to analyze another era of time and understand the struggles of that time through the literature; as well as, other forms of literature like movie scripts, music lyrics, and comic books to promote the diversity of literature in its many contemporary forms. Through events like book drives and poetry slams we are able to reach out to people, who aren t even necessarily English majors, and watch as literature enhances their lives as they voice their angst with society through their poetry. The workshops I ran on poetry and creative writing as a means of self expression allowed me to analyze many peoples work while improving my poetry just by teaching ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are many people who go into the military to do bare minimum as long as they receive their benefits, including free college tuition. Then there are types of people who join because they wantto do well for America. The militaryshould only consist of people who want to be patriotic to their country rather than use the government for their benefits and money. Better soldiers come from ones that are motivated to serve and protect our country. We needto have a military for the sake of safety and being protected from terrorists, other countries, and for humanitarian reasons. There is a problem with the military not paying much attention to quantity versus quality. The military is too big for the jobs that they have. It needs to consist of better quality soldiers instead of focusing on have the world s largest military. A lot goes into recruitment as well, but maybe not enough. • 5. Difference Between Marketing Strategies of Physical and... Slide One: The potential impact, in marketing terms, of the e business unit on the bricks and mortar university is enormous. Oblinger (2001) has argued that, for a number of reasons, distance learning has the potential to develop a truly global university. The exchanges between the business and the customer are streamlined by the lack of physical barriers, and this can allow the school to transcend international borders. The current physical school can only market within the United States, and must bring students to the school physically. This limits the growth potential of the school. In contrast, the e businesselement allows for marketingall around the world. The school can develop curriculum for a number of different countries in order to build local businesses, all through the centralized website. In addition, the school can train professionals all around the world for careers in the US, Canada, the UK or other nations. This broadens the pool of potential health care practitioners considerably, something that benefits all Western nations, most of which face a shortage of qualified health care workers. The school will adhere to high level standards, so that its degrees are widely recognized. There will also need to be policies in place that facilitate the learning of students from all over the world, so that the environment is healthy and supportive for all. On a practical level, the school can facilitate real time learning by developing features and mechanisms that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. African Racism In Pan Africanism In The 19th Century Pan Africanism was a philosophical, economic and sociocultural call for unity between Africans and the diaspora that gained popularity in the 19th century. The aim of the movement was to resist physical and symbolic domination exerted by capitalist powers and overturn the social hierarchies established by the forces of slavery, racism, and colonialism in Africa and abroad. The idea behind including the African diaspora in Pan Africanist efforts is due not only to the common history that connects them but to a common plight rooted in the same racism experienced by Africans and people of African descent. United, African Nations would have the socio political and economic strength to compete on the world stage and the power to redefine the narratives illustrating blackness in an Eurocentric society within a Eurocentric world. Among the black leaders that represented Pan Africanism were W.E.B DuBois and Marcus Garvey, political advocates different, and almost opposing, in their methods but similar in their belief in the need for African solidarity in order to reassert African pride and humanity from neo colonial subjugation. Pan Africanism gained institutional legitimacy with the founding of the African Association in London and the international attention gained by the various congresses that called for multinational participation, both highlighted the priorities of Africans dispersed throughout the world by asserting themselves as a solidified political entity with aims and ... As you can see, the painting above is of a young boy that looks to be between the ages of four and eight. Above his head is an Instagram notification bar containing the symbols that stand for zero comments, zero likes, and zero followers . It allows teens and children to stay connected with friends and family and serves as a platform to share ideas (O Keeffe 801). Social media profiles can also serve as a container that fosters one s individual identity and unique social skills (O Keeffe 801). There are also some social media platforms used in educational institutions. For example, some middle and high school teachers use Edmodo an online website designed to resemble a social media profile as a teaching tool. These sites have the benefit of reinforcing skills in English, written expression, and creativity (O Keeffe 801). Popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter allow students to meet and collaborate ideas for school assignments (O Keeffe 801). Even though too much social media exposure can have a negative effect on a child s growing identity, there are a few apps that provide options that allow children to approach identity formation more thoughtfully (Parry). While extensive use of social media can isolate children and adolescents from their societies, Parry states that there are online communities that provide children and teens with self disclosure and a feeling of belonging. Social media also serves as a good source of news information. It allows the youth to stay tuned into the things that are going on in the world around them, both online and ... This way we were able to witness different things and create our own conclusions about our three different labs. After each lab, we critical thought about what we observed and what these observations meant. In this way, we were truly able to learn and understand the purposes of the labs and other concepts that were expressed in each lab. Some of the concepts that we learned included the difference between an observation and an inference, what does diffusion do, what is the difference between a physical change and a chemical change, and how does energy affect a reaction. A chemical change is an irreversible reaction that involves the changing of the substances chemical properties and results in the creation of a new substance. A physical change is a change that affects the physical aspects or form of the substance, but not tis chemical properties. This type of reaction can be reversed and a completely new substance is not formed. So, to know if a chemical change has taken place the many thing to look for is if a new substance is created from the reaction. Experiments can be tested to make sure that no form of a chemical change has taken place if a person is unsure about whether a reaction is physical or chemical. One way that a person could test to make sure the reaction was not a chemical one is to simply see if a product has been produced. If there was a substance created from the reactants coming in contact with each other, then the change was a chemical one. Then, if you are unsure of if a product was created, then you could view the molecules of the reactants under an electron microscope to see if they changed from their original form and their chemical properties. Finally, if you are still completely unsure of if the reaction was chemical, then you could go through a series of ways that may undo the reaction because if the change can be reversed then it is a physical change. So, when applying these ways that can confirm that there is no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. The Law Of Obligation And The Criminal Law The English system law has been described as a common law rather than a civil law system. To begin with, there is a significant difference between the civil and criminal law. On the one hand, the purpose of the civil law will be to settle disputes between private s parties. On the other hand, criminal law is the body of law that punish criminal offenses and protect the innocent. In order to complete our essay, we will first focus on the fact that a link clearly exists between tort and contract law. The law of tort and contract are part of the law of obligations . They are indeed similar in nature, but, a sharp distinction can t be denied, while obligations in contract law are set by the parties themselves, obligations in tort are set by the law. The law of obligation is a branch of the civil law legal system. Hence the idea, that similarities and differences can be demonstrate between the law of obligation and the criminal law. Firstly, both contract and tort law are both delimited by obligations and usually deal with a duty that has been breached. Liabilities are part of the civil liability responsibility. The nature of obligation in a contractual relationship is established by the terms of the contract. The parties must respect their duties or liabilities arising out of the obligation undertaken by the contract. A breach of contract is a breach of a legal obligation. In tort law, the nature of the obligation is not agreed between the parties, but arises by virtue ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She knows that this is an unsolicited opportunity because she had nothing to do with Hiram sending notice of a good horse to father. The Jews of Sighet were of disproving failure to anticipate Nazi terrorism in reason of two factors: disbelief by doubt and ignorant fear within themselves and their community of Hitler s extermination strategy. In Night, the author introduces his life as a teenager and his relations with Moshe the Beadle, a shtibl who would joyfully about the Kabbalah and its mysterious revelations and guide him into studying such esoteric tradition, but then drone endlessly about his abhorrent experience of being imprisoned as a deportee. Unfortunately, no matter how much he spoke of it, his words became dust as they left his mouth and had blown in A calming, reassuring wind (Wiesel, 6). The people of Sighet bypassed Moshe s warning signal simply by not taking him seriously, and Wiesel verifies this expression in page 7, presuming how everyone refused to believe his tales and ...to listen, which led them in believing that that he wanted their pity...was imagining things... and had gone mad . This doubt provoked the inconvenience of Moshe s hopes to inform his people as a preliminary to an impending event. • 17. Endothormic And Exothermic Reactions In Chemistry When lighting a candle, one does not ruminate about how the candle flame is an exothermic process. In actuality, there are endothermic and exothermic reactions happening all around at various times. Before proceeding, one should know that exothermic reactions are ones in which energy is released. They can be discerned by reaction giving off heat, such as the example of the candle flame expelling vapor. Endothermic reactions are reactions where energy is absorbed. One can detect an endothermic reaction by, for example, touching a beaker in which a reaction occurs that becomes cool. The changes in temperature, both endothermic and exothermic, lead to the idea of enthalpy. This is defined as the difference between the potential energies of products from reactants, and is shown as О”H. When a reaction produces heat the value for enthalpy will be negative, and when it s absorbed it will be positive. The relationship of the transfer of heat between the system and surroundings can be used to determine the enthalpy change reaction by using the equation q=mCО”T. This can be accurately measured by using the process of Calorimetry. This is a method to measure heat by observing the temperature change when a body absorbs or discharges energy as heat. It is useful since it insulates the reaction, and the only measurable change will originate from the water in the reaction. The spontaneity of a reaction depends on the values for enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs free energy. Entropy is the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I came up with this theory that MAYBE Hawaii is going to overthrow the U.S. government just as we did to their Queen Liliuokalani in 1893. My theory is strengthened by the fact that Hillary Clinton, in the recent U.S. election, received Hawaiis four electoral votes. This could possibly prove that Hawaii wants the U.S. to have a woman president and then overthrow us. We overthrew Hawaii s government when they were under a woman s power, thus they would want to do the same. I believe I am very analytical because I love analyzing and creating theories, I lie in bed and think about life, and I enjoy persuading other people into analyzing my ideas and theories.... My theory on Russia is that they are always said to be such a dictating country, but maybe that isn t always the case with them. Yes, maybe at one time they were like this, but now maybe they are trying to make a change. They don t want to be known as a threat. Maybe Russia just wants to be incorporated into the world with at least a little bit of leadership, just like the U.S. This may be the reason they helped Donald Trump campaign in the recent election they wanted to see how a democracy works versus a monarchy so they could form their own and live like Americans. • 21. Their Eyes Were Watching God And A Streetcar Named Desire... In the novels, Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, and A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams, the authors choose to exhibit the theme of acquiescent wives. Stella, from A Streetcar Named Desire, and Janie, from Their Eyes Were Watching God, are both subject to disrespectful treatment by their husbands. During the 1930s 1940s, it s viewed as abnormal and looked down on to separate from one s spouse. Janie however breaks this stereotype, marrying three different men; while Stella tries to keep her dying relationship alive. Throughout the novels, Janie and Stella display a constant submissive behavior whenever told to do something, even when being abused physically or mentally by their spouse. Despite the various times Stanley beats Stella, her love for Stanley is blinding as she doesn t mind his temper and considers it as passion; while Janie acts submissive to Joe, to avoid both his physical and verbal abuse. Although Stella and Janie s voice throughout both novels are quite passive, Janie advocates more for herself than Stella. Initially Janie was raised in a impecunious African American household by her grandmother. She was taught from a young age that marriageequals love and that women depend on men for financial security. Everybody just goes along with what is happening in today s age and time, we tend to follow the mainstream trends and activities despite the fact of what it even is. This has caused ignorance and disobedience... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He split his works into three main ideas by which he governed his life by, which were; the desire for love, the search for knowledge, and sorrow for the suffering of mankind. Body I.Russell believe that love should come first because of the joy it creates and it shadows out all the loneliness. A.)To know love you must come to terms with all of love s dimensions. 1.) There are many emotions when someone is reaching out for love, some good and some bad. All should be included in learning true love. 2.) The usual bond of love is either purely contemplation or purely benevolence. B.)Love is more fundamental then knowledge, since it will lead intelligent people to seek knowledge, to benefit those that they love. 1.)Love and knowledge are extensible and is what can make life better when working together. 2.)Exploring the bounds of love between one another can save the harm of someone with genuine benevolence. II.Bertrand believed that knowledge is defined as the most important and difficult of the three ideas he governs his life to. I grew up with their songs. My parents would play their song all the time. We would go out and I would hear queen play in the car. I learned to bond with their songs and I learned to love their music. To me their music is unique. Page 2 Music 125 12/6/14 www.queenonline.com In my opinion that was pretty cool, two of your favorite songs by your favorite rock band playing one after the other. That s something we don t have today anymore. I really wish that the radio stations out there would do something like this with two of the greatest hits from some of the best rock bands that there are out there today and put them one after the other like they did with some of queens greatest hits. I think that the rock band queen has a great impact on me because their songs were played by my family at parties, around the house, at family reunions. If my family played their songs then that means that they were fun to listen to and kid friendly and not like some of the songs we have in today s generation with all the bad language and drugs being mentioned. Queen is the type of band that can be listened to with family. Some history moments for the band were when Queen formed in 1971 and in 1973 signed their first recording contract for EMI. That year they released their first album, Queen. The same year saw their first major UK tour, and in 1974 they released Queen II as well as making their first UK headlining tour. • 43. Feminism In The Merchant Of Venice In the society of Venice, the social system called patriarchy is quite ordinary. The feminist literary criticism attempts to analyze patriarchies, where men hold the majority of power, while women are denied access of it. In the sought after play called, The Merchant Of Venice, by William Shakespeare, women are treated unequally to men. Furthermore, women are not allowed to choose their own husbands as well as given a chance to solve legal disputes. As proven in the play, the patriarchal society of Venice over rules women. When men failed to use compassion in their society, women are able to solve problems by getting involved. A man named Bassanio from Belmont is in love with a woman named Portia who comes from Venice. In order to impress Portia, he is in dire need of money. Bassanio looks to his friend Antonio who is able to receive a loan from a man named Shylock in Venice. When Antonio fails to pay back the money, he must in return give a piece of his flesh away. Although Antonio made a deal with Shylock, the men fail to recognize how painful it would be if they were to sacrifice their own flesh. This discrepancy calls for capable women who can bring in a sense of compassion for Antonio. Although limited by their society, Portia and Nerissa decide they have the power to create a resolution. This leads the women to dressing up as men in order to have a say in the case. While trying to settling the dispute, Shylock continues to refuse anything short of the ... Mild, pleasant breeze began to blow from the south. Flowers were sprinkling down from Ashoka trees. Birds and the bees began to savor the fresh flower of the young mango leaves. But all this would not deter Lord Shiva from his penance. Kama went there. Shiva was doing his penance sitting on a tiger skin under a Devadaru tree. Kama was overwhelmed on seeing the exquisite grace of Lord and the cupid s bow and arrow fell down without his being aware of it. At this time, Parvati arrived on the scence to attend to her daily chores of service to the Lord. She wore a saree colored like the bright red rays of the Sun. Nice spring flowers adorned her plait. A diamond chain shone on her forehead. Her gait was like that of a delicate flower creeper. This great beauty of Parvati inspired Kama, who hitherto was somewhat, dejected, again to strive to fulfil his task. Parvati raised her hands to offer her garland of lotus flowers to Shiva who also eagerly came out of his penance to accept the offering. Kama was waiting for such a moment and exercised his sword of love . Shiva eyed Parvati once and immediately realised that he had been weaned away. From his penance. How could this happen? Kama, Cupid, was ready with his and arrow for action. Lord Shiva was angry and opened his Third Eye. A great fire flowed forth. Kama was burnt to ashes and Shiva then disappeared. Rati, seeing her husband destroyed collapsed unconscious. Parvati s father sorrowfully took her to his home. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 46. Aboriginal Discrimination And Aboriginal People Overview For many centuries the original inhabitants of Canada, the Aboriginals, have suffered at the hands of the government. From unrightly abducting their land to racial discrimination and forcing them to comply with Euro Canadian culture, Indigenous people had every right to be enraged. Indigenous, or Aboriginal people is a title given to the original settlers and their descendants of North America. Indians (or First nations), Metis and Inuit, are 3 groups of distinct peoples with unique histories, languages, cultural practices and spiritual beliefs, and it is unfair to call them one. In Canada today, more than 1.7 million people identify themselves as an Aboriginal person. Amongst the many first nations communities here in Canada, The Algonquin people are the most recognized since their historic land deal with the federal and provincial government back in October 2016. Originally living in southern Quebec and eastern Ontario, today, Algonquin people have adapted to living in urban communities across these areas. Due to the changing in lifestyle, aboriginal people have had to adjust. To them land is much more than something you buy and own, it s the thing that governs their spirituality intertwining their lives deeply with nature. With a switch in the way they feed themselves, clothes themselves, and protect themselves, it is destined for them to feel a sense of emptiness in their hearts. • 47. Newsreels During The Second World War Newsreels, five minute recordings depicting around four stories kept on a reel, were widely produced across Western countries between approximately 1910 and 1967 (Boyer, 2015). In this time, news corporations were founded and developed, and while this brought new possibilities to broadcasting and documenting information, there were multiple limitations including cumbersome equipment and censorship (Aspects of Britain; Broadcasting, 1993). This time also saw several important historic events, such as the Great War later known as World War One 1914 to 1918, the Spanish Civil War 1936 to 1939, and World War Two 1939 to 1945 (McKernan, 2000) The first British newsreel was issued in June 1910; the weekly Pathe s Animated Gazette. By 1912, it would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This suggests that newsreels before the beginning of the Second World War are useless as sources for history, as their information gathering was mediocre and unreliable. In the 1960 s, audio visual technology was becoming easier to manoeuvre and access. The Vietnam War, dubbed The Living Room War , was the first war to be recorded and broadcast directly into people s homes (Hallin, unknown), with televisions having been on the rise since the 1950 s (Television in the 1950 s, unknown). It is this rise of television that cause the newsreel to become obsolete in 1967 (Schoenherr, 2008). It appears from this analysis and these sources that newsreels are not a strong, reliable source for history, due to a lack of policies, faked footage, cumbersome technology and other difficulties. However, this is not to say that newsreels don t reflect values and trends of the time, or that newsreels are completely useless. Without newsreels and their potentially unethical practices, broadcasting news corporations such as the BBC would not have developed into the large, global organisations that they are today. And, as with most history sources, newsreels can easily be used as an easily accessible base before conducting further, cross referencing research, as is often used by ... He got this from the idea of capitalism, where he saw industrial society composed of three social classes. The first class would be the Capitalists, which are the owners of factories or basically anyone who owns a company that produces a lot of wealth. The next class would be the petit bourgeoisie, which are below the capitalists. They own their own company but can be driven out by the capitalists so they might end up as the next social class. The proletariat. They re basically the working class and who survive on their wages. Conflict within these classes are mainly because the capitalists would have so much money and the workers would barely be making by. So the proletariats would rise up and there would be a revolution. It related to this time period because it was a bit after the industrial revolution and that was what Karl Marx was really focusing on. Nijole V. Benokraitis. (2012). SOC.(pages 14 15) Belmont,CA.
