• About 400 students: grade 7, 8 and 9
• Age: 12/13-15/16 years old
• 35-40 teachers, 2 school secretaries, 2
caretakers, 3 cleaning women
• Headmaster: Arne Omar Sørensen
The school day
• We start 7.50 and finish 15.10
• Subjects: Danish, math, English, German,
history, geography, biology, social studies,
religious studies, physics/chemistry and sports
• Optional subjects: Extra English, International
Class, design, science, French, mountainbike,
music, football and IT
Breaks
• The students can sit in the three cafées or in
the hallway
• They can be outside and play football or
basketball or just hang around
• The can go to the school library if they want
more peace
Special days
• September: Feeling well day/ get together day
• October: Sports day
• December: School party
Special days
• December: Christmas Decoration Day,
Christmas Leave Day
• May: Last school day for 9th grade
• June: Last day before summer holidays
Trips
• At the beginning of 7th grade we have a trip in
the neighbourhood for two days where the
students get to know each other
• In the beginning of 9th grade we have a school
trip to Copenhagen for 3 days
• We also do small trips during the three years
Other informations
• We have small canteens, but the students can
bring their own lunch too
• Each class have two class teachers who take
special care of them, talk to parents etc.
• Two lessons a week the classes have their class
teachers; they do homework, talk to the teachers
and get help for difficult things
• 3 lessons a week the classes have different
teachers where they can do different things: Visit
companies, go to the forrest, visit museums, get
visitors to the school telling about eg. being a
soldier, alcohol abuse, politics etc.
Special things
• We have a special football
line at the school; they have
football 5 lessons a week
• We have a local girls choir
where several students
participate. They are very
good and travel to other
countries doing concerts
