In this session, we will explore some of the latest data & trends in both search and social media. Users (i.e. attendees) will be confronted with both the exciting and cold, hard realities of the digital space.
From Google to Facebook Connect, we’ll look at how users are actually using the web, and what they’re doing with it. Takeaway will include (1) insight into some of the biggest opportunities online, and (2) a whole bunch of numbers that users can steal for their own client pitches.
This is a presentation that I prepared for the the National Agri-Marketing Association conference on "Trends in Agriculture" in Kansas City, Missouri on November 11, 2009.
The content is primarily based on a case study surrounding my family's 2009 Harvest of our pinot noir grape crop in Oregon's Willamette Valley (just outside of Junction City).
It has been wonderful to combine my current vocation as a digital / social media strategist with the ability to help my family both on the farm, as well as from a distance.
Since pricing its IPO at $26, Twitter’s stock has been meteoric, reaching a high of $74.73 on December 26, 2013. However, the stock recently took a dive, raising some questions about Twitter’s viability as a public company. There is some punditry around Wall Street and Main Street that Twitter—a company that is not profitable and won’t be for at least until 2015—is overvalued and emblematic of another tech bubble. Instead, I’m going to argue that Twitter is under-valued.
My Final Project report for Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. Our research was based on Quota Sampling of 300 Students across Leeds City for Understanding whether or not it would be viable for promoting University Courses through Social Media Websites (Web 2.0)

Business planning should start with defining clear goals, and social media is no exception. Without a clear idea of what you want to accomplish with social media, you are unlikely to achieve anything at all because your efforts will be scattered or aimless. In addition, different social media goals require different sets of action. For example, if your goal is to gain consumer credibility, that looks very different than if your goal is to convert 30 percent of prospects to sales.
Start by writing down at least three social media goals for your business. Make sure each goal is specific, realistic and measurable. It is vital to make your goals measurable so that you can track your business’ progress towards each goal. It’s also important that your goals for social media relate to your overall goals for your business.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

4. As of February 2011, YouTube has 490 million unique users worldwide per month, who rack up an estimated 92 billion page views each month. We spend around 2.9 billion hours on YouTube in a month — over 325,000 years. And those stats are just for the main YouTube website — they don’t incorporate embedded videos or video watched on mobile devices.

6. Facebook offers three types of tools, each with a different set of features and intended use. Profile . In casual language, most people refer to their personal Facebook presence as their “Facebook page” but actually, Facebook calls it a profile. This is where you connect with your high school friends. Connections are made when both people agree that they are friends . Page . Some people call this a “fan page” to separate it from their personal profile, which they mistakenly call their “Facebook page.” This is the tool Facebook intended for non-personal use for businesses, public figures, authors, and others. Connections are made when one person decides to become a fan of the page (and the business or person it represents). Group . This is a tool that allows people to link up based on a common interest or cause. Connections are made when one person decides to become a supporter of the group. You might join a group focused on a television show, a sports team, or a movie and interact with other people who support it.
