Trinidad and Tobago has a largely industrial economy based on oil and gas reserves. It exports petroleum, liquefied natural gas, methanol, ammonia, urea, steel products, beverages, foods, and chemicals to countries like the United States, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil. Trinidad and Tobago also imports mineral fuels, machinery, manufactured goods, chemicals, and live animals from countries including the United States, China, and Singapore.
