Short intro to Purple WiFi and Digital SupremoDigital Supremo

Wi-Fi quality is a combination of hardware and software: the hardware is a combination of the telecoms line into the building, the router and the wireless access points (WAP). The software is crucial to offering a venueâs visitors a mundane, generic experience or, alternatively, a quality interface â a one-click login via social media and instant access.
With PurpleWiFi software, the venue owner manager benefits in a number of ways: Wi-Fi Analytics â learning about your visitors; Wi-Fi Marketing â communicating with your visitors and fans; Social Wi-Fi â interacting and engaging with visitors; Wi-Fi Security and Legal â staying legally compliant; family-friendly content filtering; multilingual.
One of the most significant benefits of Social WiFi is the ability of customers to log on to the WiFi using their existing social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. This is so much easier than filling in a form, ticking boxes or asking your staff for the WiFi password.
Most venues that offer free WiFi get nothing in return other than the hope it will incent visitors to go to them. With our venue WiFi service the marketing opportunities are endless, including the ability to contact guests and members of the public using your facilities, long after they have left your venue. Remember, not everyone using your venue will be a registered guest, so you will not have their details otherwise.
There are a number of ways in which you monetise our service:
1. Sponsorship of your WiFi service
2. Ongoing email campaigns
3. Special birthday offers
4. Coupons to those who've previously used your WiFi service
5. Redirection of those that use your WiFi to a webpage of your choice
6. Additional revenue from your return WiFi users.
Further, it has also been shown that the average Facebook user has 190 friends and research has shown that a Facebook like is worth around ÂŁ85. So if by using this system you get just one like per day this is a value of ÂŁ2,500 each and every month apart from which their recommendation will reach around 5,700 people â thatâs the power of Wi-Fi marketing!
The online statistics from the system let you really understand your customers by telling you who comes in, how often they come in and how long they stay. It will also give you a gender and age range breakdown of your customers. You can get companies to sponsor your free Wi-Fi by placing their ad on the login screen which will provide a strong revenue stream. By knowing who visits your venue you can send out emails to keep in contact with them and you can reward them with a wide variety of vouchers and special offers.
A powerful marketing and reporting system ensures you remain in control and build relationships that result in new business
Wi-Fi public hotspots are increasingly a factor in a visitorâs choice of a venue. Holidays are booked on the quality of a Wi-Fi connection, cafĂŠs are rated on their Wi-Fi, restaurants and pubs provide an excellent Wi-Fi environment as part of the eating and drinking experience. Even football stadia are providing Wi-Fi for upwards of 40,000 fans. The hospitality and leisure industry needs quality Wi-Fi.

Now letâs discuss wifi and itâs use by customers.
And then redirect to the URL specified by the business owner.
You can redirect them anywhere you want. If you are having online reputation problems or simply want to improve it, you can redirect them to your page on Yelp or Urban Spoon, your website or a custom landing page for your business like an âTodayâs Specialsâ page.
So what does the brand, or business get in return for offering free, secure Social Spot Wi-Fi?
74% of respondents would be happy for a retailer to send a text or email with promotions while they are using in-store Wi-Fi and 93.6% of smartphone users report using their phone while in-store

You can set up a loyalty program that for every X number of visits, the get an incentive like a free drink or appetizer or any service of your choice.
So what does the brand, or business get in return for offering free, secure Social Spot Wi-Fi?
The dashboard, is a little like google analytics dashboard that you get for websites. Now the âbricks and mortalâ world can access similar types of data.
They can trigger coupons or content dependent on exactly where people are and on the time they have spent in the business.
This opens up new ways to communicate with customers, for example, the business has created different zones around their store, they have set the system to send out coupons if anyone spends more than 10 minutes in one specific zone. If a customer then stays in a zone specified âElectronicsâ for over 10 minutes they receive an e-shot with a relevant code specific to that zone.
With the advent now with presence and location services, Cisco, Meraki and Ruckus have high enterprise class products that allow for more presence, more analytics and more data to be collected from the wireless devices being used.
So what do we do in our process in terms of handling the data that comes in? With our analytic engine we collect lots of data, which means the business is constantly being scanned for any WiFi enabled devices, that could be a mobile phone, a tablet or a laptop. With the latest technology it could even be a watch.
Our collection device scan sand looks for devices, the  mac address, signal strength and the frequency of visits and this can potentially be tracked and plotted on a floormap? (as in the pic).
That is presence analytics. Itâs like cookies for the real world.
And itâs anonymousâŚâŚ.
When the customer logs in using their social media account, accept the terms and conditions and privacy policy. We can start to add some color to the information about who is in the business. We can then attach this personal data to the MAC address of their device. This data is then accessible to the business to utilize in their marketing.
There is a big surge in presence and location analytics at the moment. If we tie that in with the whole social media space and there are a variety of social media out there, we can bring that all together to make the guest Wi-Fi experience a much better one.
Social Spot Wi-Fi integrates these two ideas. We have a great team of developers that have built a portal, built an analytics engine database that allows us to pull all this information together to make a very seamless and easy process for an end users and for you the business manager to manage.
Users will select your wifi from the list of available wifi connections, and are taken to your Fully customisable splash screen
This is the key screen â the user when logging in sees terms of service and privacy link, if they accept they are sharing a limited amount of data with the business. This is one way in which Social Spot Wi-Fi differentiates itself. We give the business owner the data.
The guest is prompted to âLikeâ the business on facebook if that is their chosen social login. This is a request and they can ignore that and move past this request by choosing âNo thanksâ.
This option can also be turned off by the business owner.
79% of all mobile users say the availability of in-store Wi-Fi affects their decisions where to shop.
Hotels.com did a recent survey which said that 38% of travelers said free Wi-Fi was a must while only 25% said breakfast was essential.
We provide a complete marketing graphic package as well as marketing engine support for our customers.
When we go to different businesses that provide free wifi, at the moment there are a number of different methods for gaining access. Some you have to input an email address and password, some you have to create a username & password but all will have different criteria requirements for their passwords. It could be an uppercase letter, must contain numbers and some will even need both. Before you know it you have 4 or 5 different passwords for different locations and this becomes difficult to remember when returning to that business.
Here are some examples of what you can then do with the real time marketing engine. You can push them immediately a cooupon or to a âSpecialsâ.
You can do the same thing after a certain period of time they have been in your establishment. Say you like customers to hang around your bar because they spend more money the longer they are there. After a certain time, you can incentivize them with a special offer to stay longer to take advantage of the offer.
If you are a restaurant you could push the seafood menu if your over ordered or you have any food that you want to sell more of by sending a message a few moments after they arrive, while they are waiting to be seated.
Of course, the Birthday message or coupon will always be a winner and you collect this data in our marketing engine and will be able to automatically send them a birthday message days in advance to come in or on the day of their birthday.
