2. Facebook could let businesses contact you on WhatsApp
• Facebook said on Monday it could let businesses interact with users of WhatsApp,
the popular messaging service it purchased for $21.8 billion last year.
• What's unclear, though, is how well B2C messaging will do on WhatsApp, which
has mostly steered clear of revenue-generating gimmicks like advertising and
games. Zuckerberg, meanwhile, has said he's in no rush to transform services like
WhatsApp into businesses until they hit 1 billion users.

3. Place a Dominos Order by Tweeting the Pizza Emoji
• Domino's is taking mobile ordering to the next level. Starting Wednesday, users can
place an order simply by tweeting the chain a pizza slice emoji. The pizza chain —
which calls for users to register their payment information, Twitter handle and
regular order on its website — is the latest brand to jump on the emoji bandwagon
as the characters increase in popularity.

4. Reddit Joins the Fight Against Trolls
• Reddit, the online message forum, announced last week that it is updating its
policies to curb harassment between users on its site. The decision follows Twitter’s
roll-out of new anti-harassment tools this spring, and many consider the changes to
be long-coming.
• Users can now report abuse to Reddit moderators, who can remove the content and
ban the offending user.

5. Facebook Rolls out ‘Instant Articles’ for iPhone Users
• Facebook rolled out its long-rumored “Instant Articles” project for iPhone users.
• “People share a lot of articles on Facebook, particularly on our mobile app. To date,
however, these stories take an average of eight seconds to load, by far the slowest
single content type on Facebook. Instant Articles makes the reading experience as
much as ten times faster than standard mobile web articles.”

6. Facebook Adds Call Now Button for Local Awareness Ads
• When Facebook users click on the Call Now button, their phones will automatically
dial the advertiser’s number, enabling them to get information or make reservations
or appointments.
• The new call-to-action button joins the Get Directions button, which was part of the
launch of local awareness ads last October.

7. LinkedIn Rolls Out Changes to Developer Program
LinkedIn has enacted some major changes to its developer program, ensuring a better
experience for users.
LinkedIn notified developers that its application programming interface (API) would be
limited to these uses:
•Allowing members to represent their professional identity via their LinkedIn profile
using our Profile API.
•Enabling members to post certifications directly to their LinkedIn profile with our Add to
Profile tools.
•Enabling members to share professional content to their LinkedIn network from across
the Web leveraging our Share API.
•Enabling companies to share professional content to LinkedIn with our Company API.
