Juliana Flora discusses social media tools that are useful for educators. Twitter and Pinterest allow her to easily connect and share information with other teachers around the world. Her biggest success was getting involved in Twitter conversations in real time without taking a lot of time. She experienced some challenges with Glogster and Google+ being slow or her version of software being outdated. Moodle tutorials helped her learn online platforms clearly as a busy working mother seeking teaching credits. In conclusion, social media connects her more broadly to education and her other interests.

• Twitter
 Great way to connect with others all over the world.
 Allows me to talk about education topics with people
who have more experience than me.
 Pintrest
 Images that are eye catching, and tell me what I am
looking at.
 Great way to share information. Easy to organize.

3. Biggest Success
My Biggest Success was getting tuned into
twitter.
★ I can chat with other teachers all
over the world in real time.
★ I can use twitter to connect with
people without taking a lot of time.

4. Challenges
In Glogster everything was slow, or
delayed. My version of Safari was out of
date.
Google + has been difficult for me
to get used to, I prefer facebook.
Not as many of my friends and
family are connected to Google +

5. Moodle and online learning
• The tutorials were very helpful.
• As a novice, I was very concerned that I would
not post things correctly, but the directions
helped make things clear.
• I am a busy working mother, and this was a
great way to get my ACT 48 credits so that I
can keep my teaching certificate.
