The document outlines an agenda for a summer national conference in San Jose, California in 2015. Participants will tour an exhibit at the Museum of the United States focused on perceptions of America. The exhibit covers topics like the American Dream, race relations, nationalism, and the War on Terror. Attendees are instructed to move through the museum respectfully and engage in critical discussion. They will then partner with others outside their group to discuss reactions to the exhibit. Finally, the document details a debriefing session for attendees to share thoughts and discuss assumptions shaping views of the country.

How can marketers and agency partners address the changes the rise of digital has on our relationships with one another. This presentation looks at the key items I feel are currently most valuable to consider. I work at Ogilvy, so forgive the shameless Ogilvy plugs!
Does your LinkedIn profile still read like a resume?
Establishing yourself as a credible professional to the world can seem daunting. You may be asking things like:
✅ How do I build relationships with other experts in my space?
✅ How do I position myself to become the go-to voice that people trust?
✅ And how does a busy professional find time to do it all?
Now more than ever, it’s imperative to be strategic and intentional about building an online presence or you risk becoming irrelevant.
After completing 800 LinkedIn profile assessments over the last year, I identified 15 things about a highly optimized leadership profile that builds credibility and trust.
Take a look at this slide deck where I share the top 3.
In an increasingly virtualized world, many data points suggest that organizations are not only in need of skills training but also relational collaboration. What can we do about it? How can we create continuing change and growth in the workplace — the kind that translates to bottom-line impact? New York Times best-selling author Keith Ferrazzi has met with more than 50 chief learning officers and heads of HR who have offered insight and advice for bringing innovation to life. In this keynote, Ferrazzi will explore:
• Formalizing informal learning by creating and managing an environment rich with peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
• Examples of virtual and technology-enabled learning that succeed in engaging learners and fostering collaboration.
• New methods of segmentation and the implications for resource allocation.
• Measurement and systems to support the new learning model.

I also shared strategies for creating content that is meaningful and culturally relevant through embracing ancient archetypal patterns and universal human emotions. How To Win Friends and Influence People v2.0
By Jim Christian, Head of SEO at GoDaddy
Today's enterprise workplace is vastly different from the world Dale Carnegie knew, but the core skills he championed such as persuasion, empathy and communication are still the keys to success today. Jim explains how these skills were critical to his own successful marketing projects, and how he used them to make SEO a powerful tool of influence at companies like GoDaddy.
Because today every time we choose an algorithm, a dataset, a framework, even a plugin, our decision may have tremendous consequences on people near and far around us.
As we, in the tech industry, slowly come to realise the power we wield, we urgently need to train our brains into an ethical decision-making framework.
How can we make sure our choices won't harm others?

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Turn off operations, thinking about US as a country.
Understanding that everyone will think differently about what they see. That’s ok and that’s the point.
