4. When & how to build it
 Begin Early: when children can comprehend figures
and words … hence 5 years onwards.
 Exposure: rather than coaching.
. . . as we do with reading books
 Fun-filled: so that it is not yet another school
subject … importantly NO HOMEWORK!
 Do-and-Learn: rather than hear and understand.
. . . not traditional teaching but work-book based

5. Will there be a difference?
One expects one or more of the following to happen:
 Asking Parents & Relatives trivia learnt at the SmartQ course.
 Pouring over Puzzles in newspapers … unprovoked.
 Correcting their siblings on choice of words.
 Showing-off their knowledge amongst peers and teachers!
 Picking up the IQ books that always lay in the home library.
 Demonstrating greater participation in house/ school discussions.
 Show more confidence in their answers (since this is part of the
program exposure)

6. Program HIGHLIGHTS
 Classroom-based: to provide group interaction.
 Small-group size: maximum 15 students to enable
participation.
 Short sessions: 2 hours each (usually once a week).
 Training Instructors: through a certification process.
 Uniform program delivery: across centres by a
instructional-designed based course with standard training
kits.

7. PROGRAM DESIGN
 GK: is not designed to thrust a million facts on the child
but to make her/him realise that knowledge can be
interesting and fun through trivia.
 IQ: is designed to prepare the child to become a Mensan.
 PZ: is designed to build skills to let the child participate
in various puzzle championships.
 VB: is designed to encourage use of appropriate words
through applying using word-games like Word Searches,
Crosswords and Word Guesses.

8. PROGRAM sTRUCTURE
 JUNIOR series
 The A series for 5 years olds
 The B series for 6 year olds, and
 The C series for 7 year olds
 Each level consists of 12 sessions of 2 hours each
 Each is an entry level program viz. a first-timer 6 year
old can directly begin with a B level program
 Each series has 3 levels viz. A has A, A+ and A++ to
provide additional exposure to hone skills.

9. PROGRAM sTRUCTURE
 foundation series
 Has 4 levels viz. Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4
 Entry age is 8 years and above.
 Each level consists of 16 sessions of 2 hours each
 This is a graded program: hence a child cannot do a level
2 or 3 unless Level 1 has been completed.
 There is an assessment at the end of each level
