6. HISTORY OF SMART HOME
Idea of Smart home is first created in 1989 in a
science fiction called’ There Will Come Soft Rains’
The first smart device appear in 1997, which is a
kitchen computer that able to store recipes.
In the 2000s, technology like home networking,
Bluetooth connection, domestic technology and
other gadgets improves rapidly, making Smart
Home more available.

almost two-third of the
interviewees haven’t used
Smart home devices before.
This may mean that the
concept of smart home is not
yet well-known.

environment, we believe that Smart home will become more and more
popular in the coming era and have a much larger market over the world.
