2. Understand the situation

action
5. Preapare review and approve the plan
6. Implement and maintain the plan

listed the threats and hazards.
The team will proceed to
develop goals and objectives.
Goals are broad statements
that define what team are to
achieve.
The planning team has to fulfill
at least three goals for each
threat or hazard.

Can use scenario-based
planning to envision all the
ways a potential emergency
could unfold and then plan
accordingly by developing
courses of action.
Objectives are specific,
measureable actions that help
to achieve the goals.
The team can chart the
process electronically using a
flow chart

This step in the planning
process involves formatting the
plan, writing the plan,
approving the plan, and
sharing the plan.

Specific Annexes section

M A I N TA I N T H E P L A N
Is recomendable that teams
focus on training stakeholders,
exercising the plan, reviewing the
plan, revising the plan, and
maintaining the plan.
Everyone who has a role or
responsibility in the plan should
be familiar with what actions they
need to take before.
Holding a yearly meeting to
educate all parties on the plan.
Visiting evacuation sites with
appropriate stakeholders.
Posting key information (using
posters, podium cards, flip charts,
etc.) throughout campus
buildings on how to respond to

  • 6. S T E P 3 D E T E R M I N E G O A L S A N D O B J E C T I V E S : After the planning team has listed the threats and hazards. The team will proceed to develop goals and objectives. Goals are broad statements that define what team are to achieve. The planning team has to fulfill at least three goals for each threat or hazard.

S T E P 4 P L A N D E V E LO P M E N T F O R I D E N T I F Y I N G C O U R S E S O F A C T I O N Can use scenario-based planning to envision all the ways a potential emergency could unfold and then plan accordingly by developing courses of action. Objectives are specific, measureable actions that help to achieve the goals. The team can chart the process electronically using a flow chart

S T E P 5 P R E PA R E , R E V I E W, A N D A P P R O V E T H E P L A N This step in the planning process involves formatting the plan, writing the plan, approving the plan, and sharing the plan. Three major sections: 1.- •A Basic Plan section 2.- A Functional Annexes section 3.- A Threat- and Hazard- Specific Annexes section

S T E P 6 I M P L E M E N T A N D M A I N TA I N T H E P L A N Is recomendable that teams focus on training stakeholders, exercising the plan, reviewing the plan, revising the plan, and maintaining the plan. Everyone who has a role or responsibility in the plan should be familiar with what actions they need to take before. Holding a yearly meeting to educate all parties on the plan. Visiting evacuation sites with appropriate stakeholders. Posting key information (using posters, podium cards, flip charts, etc.) throughout campus buildings on how to respond to
