Vocaloids
The Future Of Singing
Outline for Vocaloids the Future
of Singing
 Why Do We Need them?
 Introduction
 Origin
 Introducing the Top Two Vocaloids
Characters
 Len Kagamie
 Hatsune Miku (The Reason of Success of
Vocaloids)
 Conclusion
Why Do We Need Them?
Ever wanted to be a song writer or wanted someone to sing
poetry for you?
Definitely you must have if you wrote poetry!
Few famous singers you probably like are:-
Eminem Pitbull Justin Bieber
Why Do We Need Them?
Now because of the cost and other features that is quite
absurd. Many reasons in this aspect can be stated like,
 It may affect the life of the celebrity.
 It may be too casual to be sung by that celebrity.
 It may cost us a million for one performance.
 There are limited number of songs a celebrity can sing
at a time.
That is where a Vocaloid comes into play!
Introduction
 Vocaloid (Japanese: Bōkaroido) is a singing Voice
Synthesizer.
 The software enables users to synthesize singing by typing
in lyrics and melody.
 It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded
vocals of voice actors or singers.
 To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics.
Introduction
 It also allows the
user to tamper with
the singing abilities
of the Vocaloid to a
very high degree.
 Snapshot of
Vocaloid is shown:-
Introduction
 It also allows us to animate and make the Vocaloid move
on our will!
 A software called MMD (Miku Miku Dance) makes this
possible.
 A screen shot
is shown:-
 Famous
Vocaloids are
shown via
3D Holography
and 3D
structures.
Origin
 Vocaloid’s signal processing part was developed
through a joint research project led by Kenmochi
Hideki at the Pompeu Fabra University in
Bracelona, Spain in 2ooo.
 Originally it was not intended to be a full commercial
project.
 It was backed by the Yamaha Corporation.
 Yamaha Corporation is a Japanese
multinational corporation. It’s Logo is shown above.
Origin
 At first the Vocaliod was much of a faliure.
 The software was originally only available
in English starting with the first Vocaloids
Leon, Lola and Miriam and Japanese with
Meiko and Kaito.
 But Vocaloid 3 has added support
for Spanish for the Vocaloids Bruno, Clara
and Maika; Chinese for Luo Tianyi and
Yanhe; Korean for SeeU.
Introducing the Top Two
Vocaloids Characters
Indeed! You must be amazed but there are fans of
Vocaloids all over the world. In the top ten’s list the
2nd most popular Vocaliod is Kagamie Len. And on
the first is Hatsune Miku, the sole reason for
Crypton Future Media’s Success.
 Crypton Future Media is a media company
which is the creater of both of the above
mentioned Vocaloids.
 Crypton Future Media is also a share holder in
Vocaloid Series. It’s Logo is shown above.
Vocaloid #02
Len Kagamie

Len Kagamie
 He is shown as a boy with blonde hairs. He usually
appears with his twin sister Rin Kagamie. See Picture:-
 20,000 copies of this
Vocaloid were sold on
initial release.
 His characters
are shown
to be cold, power
and serious.
Len Kagamie
 These are Snapshots
 Of His live
 performance
as shown:-
Vocaloid #01
Hatsune Miku
Hatsune Miku
Her voice is the
persona of
Japanese
Voice Actress Saki
Fujita. Saki wasn’t
famous till Miku got
her voice
from her.
Hatsune
Miku are
Japanese
words
meaning
“The first
sound
from the
Future”.
Hatsune Miku
Data and physical features:-
 Depicted as a girl with long pony
tail. With hair colour Turquoise.
 First release in year 2006.
 Birthday: August 31
 Age: 16 years
 Zodiac Sign: Virgo
 Height: 158cm /5.18 ft
 Weight: 42 Kg /93 Ib
Hatsune Miku’s Fame
Now you must be guessing why does she have so much information while
Len had very little?
For that we look at these facts about her:-
 She is currently the most selling Vocaloid of all times with reserved sales
3,000 in first week of 2006.
 Over 100,000 released songs, 170,000 uploaded YouTube videos,
1,000,000 created artworks.
 Over 900,000 fans on Facebook that
is having more fans than Justin Bieber!
 Performing sold-out 3D concerts
worldwide with performances
in Los Angeles, Taipei, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Tokyo, New York and
Indonesia.
Hatsune Miku’s Fame
 She was the only Vocaloid called for a live
performance in NYC and LA, USA.
 Her anime was aired in 2012 and Manga was
released.
 The other Vocaloids didn’t had any anime or
manga.
 The sale of Turquoise hair colour rose
enormously.
 Corporate collaborations with SEGA, Toyota
USA, Google and more..
 She is the fastest singer in the world according to
BBC World (Applying human limitation in word
rate).
Hatsune Miku
Her live performance is shown:-
Conclusion
 Vocaloids are the future singers of our world.
 Experienced professional predict that in the future
there won’t be any real singers! The future will be of
Vocaloids.
 Songs sung by Vocaloids never affect their lives as
they have none.
 They can sing all songs in everyway.
 They are perfect singers in all possible ways!

  5. Taking Pictures:- Another application of sixth sense devices is the implementation of a gestural camera. This camera takes the photo of the location user is looking at by detecting the framing gesture. After taking the desired number of photos we can project them onto any surfaces and then use gestures to sort through those photos and organize and resize them.
  6. Time detail:- If you have not wrist watch, you did not need to worry because through sixth sense technology you are very close to time you can make own watch you just have to draw a circle on your wrist to get a virtual watch that gives your correct time.
  7. Drawing Application:- The drawing application allows the user you to draw on any surface by tracking the fingertip movements of the user’s index finger. The pictures that are drawn by the user can be stored and replaced on any other surface. The user can also shuffle through various pictures and drawing by using the hand gesture movements.
  8. Viewing Map:- With the help of a map application the user can call upon any map of his/her choice and navigate through them by projecting the map on to any surface. By using the thumb and index fingers movements the user can zoom in, zoom out or pan the selected map.
  9. Information about People:- With help of face recognition techniques the sixth sense devices are able to provide information about the people when we meet them. The sensor detects the face and checks the data base for the relevant information. The system will then project the relevant information about a person like what they do, where they work.
