Interesting Facts about Skype Skype added 39 million registered users in the last months of 2009, for a total of 560 million. 36 percent of Skype-to-Skype calls included video,  a number that is consistently rising. Skype is available in 29 languages  and is used in almost every  country around the world.
Step 1: Go to www.skype.com and click on “Get Skype” to download/ install the software *  Follow the installation directions; don’t forget to “agree to the terms” of use!
Step 2: Double click the Skype icon (on your start bar program list) to begin *  The app will open to the internet for you!
Step 3: Fill in your name; create a ‘Skype name’; create a password;  give your contact e-mail * Keep your Skype name simple, so that other users can contact you easily
Step 4: Personalize your settings; look for contacts by name or e-mail address Toolbar for general Skype info., arranging contacts, calling, viewing, other tools, and help Personalize profile with photos or video Search by name for other Skypers Tab for keeping track of conversations *  Similar to social networking sites, you may personalize your profile
Step 5: To enable video conferencing, click tools; options;  video;  check the box that reads, “enable Skype video” *  This tutorial was created under the assumption that the computer you’re working with is video enabled; if not, you’ll need to install a webcam! Once your video option is enabled, right click on any contact to initiate a video call
