Simple Present

El presente simple se usa para hablar de cosas en general, actividades que ocurran todo el
tiempo o repetidamente y verdades generales.

Ex: The sun sets everyday (El sol se pone todos los dias)
Nurses look after people ( Las enfermeras cuidan a la gente)
The Earth goes around the sun (La tierra gira alrededor del sol)

En Inglés , las oraciones se forman de la siguiente manera:

             SUBJECT + VERB + COMPLEMENT
          (sujeto) (verbo) (complemento)
Examples: I am a student
              He comes from Ancud

              SUBJECT VERB
                    I
                                                         play
         You (Maria and you) work
     We(you and I, Felipe and I) run
They(the dogs, the students, these cars) come

            He (Peter, etc) Plays
She (Maria, My Mother, etc) Works
It (the car, my dog , his pet, etc.) Runs

Cuando el sujeto es He - She - It ; al verbo se le agrega una

Ex: I work everyday but He works just on mondays
(yo trabajo todos los días pero El trabaja solo los lunes)

Los verbos que terminan en consonante Y ex: study cambia a studies :
Example:
      He studies english
      (El estudia inglés)

Los verbos que terminan con sh – ch- s - x ; se les agrega la terminación es
Example:
       wash – washes
       watch – watches
       fix – fixes
      miss - misses

Otros verbos como: go - goes
                         Do - does
Pero Have - Has

verbo

SUBJECT AUXILIARY + NOT VERB
       I
     YOU DO NOT WORK
      WE (Don’t) STUDY
     THEY LIVE

    HE DOES NOT HAVE
  (Charles, (Doesn’t) WATCH
 My father, DO
    Etc.)
    SHE
(Susan, My

IT(My cat,

Examples:
George doesn’t go to the cinema very often.
