This document analyzes a film poster for the 1992 neo-noir film "Simple Men" directed by Hal Hartley. Initially, the author did not find the poster very exciting or appealing. However, upon closer examination, they appreciated some of its individual elements. These include the use of red lips in the central female character, signifying the film's noir influences, and the large white title text that stands out against a black background. While some aspects could be improved, such as a higher quality central image, the author found inspiration from this poster's focus on the femme fatale character and use of bold typography to design their own poster.
