Formula 1, also known as Formula One or F1, is the highest class of single seater auto racing governed by the FIA. It consists of a series of races known as Grands Prix held on circuits around the world. The results are combined to determine annual World Championships for both drivers and constructors. F1 cars must comply with regulations regarding their construction, engines, and other components to ensure competition. Popular Grands Prix are held in various countries from March to November each year. Legendary drivers like Juan Manuel Fangio, Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and the current champion Sebastian Vettel have dominated the sport over the decades.

• Formula One, also known as Formula 1 or F1 and
referred to officially as the FIA Formula One World
Championship, is the highest class of single seater auto
racing sanctioned by the Federation Internationale
de l'Automobile (FIA).
• The "formula" designation in the name refers to a set of
rules with which all participants' cars must comply.
• The F1 season consists of a series of races, known as
Grands Prix (from French meaning Grand Prizes), held
on purpose-built circuits and public roads.

6. Formula One car
• A modern Formula One car is a single-seat, open cockpit, open-
wheel racing car with substantial front and rear wings, and an
engine positioned behind the driver.
• The Formula One regulations specify that cars must be constructed
by the racing teams themselves, though the design and
manufacture can be outsourced.
• Formula One engines may be no more than 2.4 litres in capacity.
They must have eight cylinders in a 90-degree formation, with two
inlet and two exhaust valves per cylinder. They must be normally
aspirated, weigh at least 95 kilograms and be rev-limited to
15,000rpm.

7. • The fuel used in F1 cars is fairly similar to ordinary petrol.
• The driver has the ability to fine tune many elements of the race car from
within the machine using the steering wheel. The wheel can be used to
change gears, apply rev. limiter, adjust fuel/air mix, change brake
pressure, and call the radio. Data such as engine rpm, lap times, speed,
and gear is displayed on an LCD screen.

• F1 cars can negotiate corners at significantly
higher speeds due to its light weight and high
down force.
• F1 drivers have prolonged exposure to high G
forces and temperatures for little over an hour.
This results in an average F1 driver losing about
4kgs of weight after just one race.
• In Germany 77% of roads don’t have speed limit
and two champions Michael Schumacher and
Sebastian Vettel belong to that country.
