 Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with having total 10 + years’ experience in maintenance
filed of rotating as well as static equipment’s.
 Responsible for supervising the Mechanical Maintenance teams & Groups.
 Troubleshooting, estimating, repair, installation and oversight of mechanical equipment’s, bar &
band screens,boilers, turbines, pumps, electro chlorinators, piping, valves and controls.
 Strong demonstrated leadership, Solid management, organized and people focused managerial
skills, decisive decision making and the ability to influence through communication skills and
being an example.
 Results oriented.
 Strong background in mechanical maintenance or engineering required.
 Ability to work well with people.
 Must be a self-starter.
 Work extended hours when necessary and weekend coverage on a rotating basis (covering
maintenance areas on weekends).

Specially dealing with Operation & Maintenance of seawater Intake and recirculation systems,
waste water treatment plants and RO plant, Desalination plants, sewage treatment plants & water
treatment plants equipment’s.

Current Salary: - 1000 OMR / month + Family status + other allowance.

 Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:-
 Lead safety programs and safety initiatives.
 Work on productivity, cost, and quality improvement teams.
 Build employee development programs to create high skill level and maximum versatility.
 Develop and Implement best-in-class maintenance practices throughout the sea water plant.
 Reduce unplanned maintenance downtime
 Reduce maintenance costs
 Work with operations, other maintenance supervision and maintenance crews to implement
planned work, emergency work and preventative maintenance schedules as required (work
as part of a team or lead the team)
 Interface with Engineering, vendors, in-house crafts and outside contractors to complete
capital projects and expense projects throughout area of responsibility
 Provide technical assistance on maintenance related needs.
 Communicate effectively (orally and written) and make decisions in emergency situations.
 Major Accountablities :-
 Supervises mechanical maintenance activities, including outside contractors.
 Responsible for ensuring that company and contract maintenance employees are in
compliance with safety policies and procedures.
 Provides estimates for maintenance and turnaround work
 Recommends needs for maintenance materials, warehouse stock, rental equipment, and/or
contract services.
 Responsible for the counseling, training, development, and performance appraisal of
maintenance hourly employees in their assigned craft.
 Assists in the development, planning and coordination of turnaround work.
 Attends daily meetings to assist in accomplishing scheduled work and resolving key
maintenance problems.
 Holds toolbox safety meetings and inspections, necessary to achieve safety goals.
 Communicates changes in company policy, procedures, and objectives to employees.
 Provides judgment on the repair versus replacement of equipment.
 Participates in the development of reliability plans and provides solutions for operational
issues.
 Analyzes problems that may arise and finds a workable solution that is practical as well as
cost efficient.
 Implements safe work practices for all employees.
 Ensures that the necessary tools and equipment are ordered and an adequate supply of parts
is maintained in stock by utilizing CMMS, and interacting with the Warehouse and Planning
Departments.
 Maintains and evaluates equipment history through the CMMS system.
 Monitors quality and quantity of work being done by outside repair shops and suppliers.
 Prepares monthly activities report on mechanical work for management.
 Collaborates with lead technicians in problem solving to achieve total reliability in the most
economical means.
 Performs all necessary functions to complete maintenance projects.
 Regularly audits the work order system for volume, costs, flow, proper application of the
priority hierarchy, and manpower usage.
 Develops and maintains databases and hard files essential for the effective operation of the
planning and scheduling areas of responsibility.
 Provides feedback to the Planning and Scheduling Group regarding work packages and
develops strategies for improvements as needs are identified. Provides input for management
reports pertaining to cost, manpower utilization, productivity, reliability and forecasting.
 Prepares/Supplies drawings, sketches,specifications, procedures etc.
 Fully dismantling & assembling of Bar screens & Duelflow Band screens.
 Dismantling & assembling of all type of vertical submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps,
high-pressure pumps, multistage HP pumps etc.
 Maintenance of centrifuge screw type air compressors(Atlas copco),reciprocating
compressors ( kirloskar make).
 To carry out alignment of the driving and driven equipment by using dial gauge indicators
(Rim & Face method).
 Assembling and dismantling of Electro chlorinators & rectifiers.
 Assembling and dismantling of all type of Vessels,gear boxes & Agitator Mechanisms etc.
 Handling of dam board installation and removal 14ton, 12 ton, 10ton, and 6ton.
 Execute various types of maintenance of the plant equipment’s according to its respective
maintenance manual effectively.
 Assist in the root cause analysis and reporting of chronic mechanical problems and repeated
failures.
 Familiarize and train subordinates and newly hired mechanics to improve their skills and
enhance their productivity.
 Maintenance of steam boilers, elevators, steam valves and steam networks, ID fans, FD fans
maintenance and all related to boilers plant.
 Experience Of Steam turbine operator of capacity 3 MW, 2 MW, 1 MW, 0.8 MW, 0.6 MW,
(Kessals & Ape Bellies) & turbines generalmaintenance.

  • 3.  Prepares monthly activities report on mechanical work for management.  Collaborates with lead technicians in problem solving to achieve total reliability in the most economical means.  Performs all necessary functions to complete maintenance projects.  Regularly audits the work order system for volume, costs, flow, proper application of the priority hierarchy, and manpower usage.  Develops and maintains databases and hard files essential for the effective operation of the planning and scheduling areas of responsibility.  Provides feedback to the Planning and Scheduling Group regarding work packages and develops strategies for improvements as needs are identified.
