The biggest shopping day of the year is known as Black Friday . This is when
loads of people all around the country gather around to shop store sales everywhere
before Christmas time settles in. Stores began to use the term in the 1970s because
the day after Thanksgiving marked the start of the profitable holiday shopping

earlier into the 1960s. Black Friday was how police officers described the day after
Thanksgiving because residents from the city and near suburbs marched the stores
of Philadelphia in search of gifts for the holidays (Zillman). The sale has since then

Every year stores open earlier practically flipping the bird to Thanksgiving in a way
that is detrimental to history. Black Friday should be held only on its original
specified date of the Friday after Thanksgiving so that it does not interfere in any
way with the holiday gatherings because it takes employees away from their families
and friends diminishing the value of Thanksgiving as a whole.

One amazing way reading has changed is just my short lifetime is the digitalization

Nobles to actually buy a book, now I get everything I read online. My inability for a
long time to reread any book made my parents find a cheaper way for me to read.

The book focuses on a child named Ty that lives under the sea in the relative near
future. The book follows him through some of his many adventures, and his
blossoming love life. One reason I chose to reread this book was because it made
me feel as if I was actually living Ty s life. I originally read Dark Life about a two
and a half years ago and I liked it then, yet I realized some of the subtle jokes and
themes passed over me. One major theme that I did not notice as much when I first
read it was how the romance progressed. It progressed in the cliche romantic novel

In his essay titled The Land Ethic, Aldo Leopold argues that humans should extend
ethical behaviors to the natural environment or in other words, the land. The author
points out that, thus far, humans have only acted ethically towards one another.
However, he believes that it is time for humans also to start to treat the environment
with the same respect and dignity that we have for the members of our own species.
The author states that he is aware that we cannot entirely prevent utilizing natureas a
resource and a commodity. Nonetheless, he concludes that humans should have the
responsibility to take care of the environment and to assure its continued existence.
Leopold does not believe that humans are the inferior species, the conquerors of

knowing her self worth or having a female role model in her life, it leads to her

United States and Europe in Struggle . Research conducted found that increases in
automation have significantly decreased employment options for those people who
lack sufficient means to complete higher educationrequirements. This may be in part
due to the sharp increases in the cost of post secondary education. This has led to a
sharp decline in the middle classworldwide and a polarization of the lower class and

Manufacturing jobs were once a way of attaining gainful employment for those

therefore this sector of the workforce is in a rapid and steady decline, endangering
the middle class in America. This fact is highlighted in a report published by The
Heritage Foundation, in which is reported that employment in the manufacturing
sector for workers with a high school diploma in the United States has fallen 38.6%
since 1992 (Sherk, 2010). This equates to 4.6 million job opportunities lost by middle
class Americans. One example of technologies that have contributed to this decline is

country in the world is China with the population of 1, 373,541,248 people (U.S.
