in India. In 1975, dedicated lighterage cell
acquired the necessary equipment and
conducted sea Ship-to-Ship (STS) lighterage
operations on the Indian coast. Lighterage
operations transfer the wet and dry cargoes
between ships of varying sizes.

taken to the service yard for repair. The process
comprises of cleaning and inspecting the
submerged portions of the hull by taking the
