God blesses us so that we can be His channels of blessing to the world. Service, kindness, generosity, and creative problem solving are few ways we bless people around us.

Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.

This is a study of Jesus as a preacher of good works. Jesus made us the salt and light of the world so that by good works others could see the work of God in us and want into the kingdom of God.
Jesus said His people are to be the "light of the world." How do we shine as bright lights to the world we live in? By our behavior, people can move from darkness to light; by our savior, knowing what Jesus did for them; our message of hope gives light to those in darkness.
Jesus told his disciples that they were the salt of the earth & the light of the world. He would tell Christians today that the same message. Christians must let God's life, light and love shine out of them.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Shine: Matthew 5.16 (UPDATED)
1.
2. Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
3. Light represents Truth. Jesus: GO PUBLIC about who you are in me!
4.
6. If you allow yourself do what you are, you’ll stick out like a sore thumb in a world of clones.
8. We are light not because we qualify as light, but because the Great Light of the World, Jesus, shines from within us.
9.
10. When you try to go unnoticed, you hide Jesus who lives within you. When it comes to evangelism, antisocial behavior is anti-Christian behavior.
11. God’s power is made perfect in your weaknesses (2 Cor 12:9) !
12.
13. 2 Corinthians 4:5-7 (NIV) For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
14.

16. Your greatest pain could become your greatest joy when you let God use it to bring someone closer to Him.
