God saw that the world had become wicked and instructed Noah to build an ark to save his family from the coming flood that would judge the rest of the world. Noah obeyed God by building the ark according to God's instructions, taking his family and the animals onto the ark when the flood waters came. Only those who were inside the ark were saved from the flood; all those outside perished in the waters. The document draws parallels between Noah's ark and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, who is described as the Ark of Salvation and the only means of escaping God's coming judgment for sin.
God provided the cities of refuge so that those who had accidentally killed another could flee to a place of justice and mercy. In the Messiah, we all have this hope.. We can flee to Jesus for refuge from our sins, but this also requires that we remember that our congregation is to be a place of refuge for one another and also those who are lost in sin.
Among the many chapters in the Bible Genesis 22 stands out among the most significant, personal and poignant. As a vivid picture of substitutionary atonement, the event of Abraham's offering his son, portends the Father's offering of His Son, Jesus, on the cross.
Amidst God's most severe judgments, the world will see his grace as well—in the future just like the present. Have you ever been subpoenaed to testify in a court of law? If so, describe the circumstances, what happened and how you felt? What prevents us from being effective witnesses? Do we, like the disciples, have concerns or perspectives or priorities that restrict us or distract us from effectively fulfilling our roles as witnesses?
God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.
Why do you think Rahab is listed among the “heroes” of faith in Hebrews 11? Do you feel that some sins in your past or present are so terrible that they can’t be forgiven or that you are unworthy to serve God? How does Rahab’s story encourage you? What was the emotional state of the people in Jericho? (Josh. 2:9, 11; 6:1) How did this confirm God’s promises in Deut. l:21, 29–31? Read carefully Josh. 2:9–13. What did Rahab know about Israel's history? How long before had the Red Sea been crossed? (Ex. l4). How long before had Sihon and Og been conquered? (Deut. 2:26-3:ll) What did Rahab specifically say she believed about the God of Israel? What is impressive about her faith? Could anyone else in Jericho have come to the same conclusions?
Some notes from recent teaching sessions - they are aimed at giving more of a background / preparatory idea about how a person might move into a position to be "anointed" by God.
This is a slideshow of some of the prophecy illustrations from our website - http://SanctuaryofYeshua.wordpress.com.
You can go there to learn more about the Bible prophecies of Daniel and Revelation and about the Sanctuary, or Tabernacle. The fact that the Bible prophecies have been so accurately fulfilled by history shows that the prophecies which apply to the future will also be very exactly fulfilled. You will find much more about this o the website, as well as an illustrated timeline of all the prophecies in Daniel and Revelation so you can see visually how and when they were/are going to be fulfilled.
Not unlike the effects of today’s Coronavirus, the older generation of Israel in the wilderness were dying. Numbers 20 begins with the death of Miriam (1) and concludes with the death of Aaron (28, 29). If you were to die today, what legacy would you leave? When was the last time you murmured or complained about something associated with COVID-19? What was your complaint? How did your criticism or complaint change you, your relationship with God and those around you? Why did the Lord send “fiery serpents among the people” (21:6)? What was Moses’ response when he heard their complaints and saw God’s judgment? (7) How should we be like Moses? What was the Lord’s response? (8) Why did Jesus compare Himself to Moses’ brazen serpent? (John 3:14-16) Why do many (sadly most) people refuse to look and live? (8)

Creating comics and PowToons for InstructionJonathan Bacon
Presentation offered at the 2014 Summer Institute on Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (SIDLIT). See http://www.powtoon.com/show/dccGbC2PmoV/cartoons-for-instruction/ for Video.
PowToon is a cloud-based software for creating animated presentations and animated explainer videos. With PowToon you can create animated presentation tool. The creators of PowToon take a look at incumbent presentation tools like Power Point, focused only on a subset of its most widely used features, and then “ kicked them into high gear”.
Every business needs to convey their message and benefits in an attention grabbing and engaging way. The added level of abstraction created by using cartoons allows a viewer to experience benefits of using a product before they ever laid hand on it. The process of creating an animated presentation of your product or service has - until now - been a cost and time intensive process (starting at $2,000 and going up to $25,000 for a 90 second animated presentation). PowToon is disrupting this space by providing marketers and businesses with the tool and marketplace to create their own awesome Powtoons.

Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
A collaboration between Srini Rao and David Crandall - Every year on his birthday Srini shares one lesson for each year he's been alive. This year he asked if I'd like to design and illustrate his 35 lessons. Being his business partner (and friend!), I said "HECK YA!!!" This is what we came up with. Hope you enjoy it!!
We'd like to take a break on presentation techniques and share with our viewers a slideshow featuring leadership lessons from former South African President Nelson Mandela.
Transcript Below:
1.) “A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger. You don't have that idea when you are arrogant, superficial, and uninformed.”
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”
2.) “It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.”
“Resentment is like drinking poison and then hoping it will kill your enemies.”
3.) “Long speeches, the shaking of fists, the banging of tables and strongly worded resolutions out of touch with the objective conditions do not bring about mass action and can do a great deal of harm to the organization and the struggle we serve.”
“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”
4.) “Real leaders must be ready to sacrifice all for the freedom of their people.”
"Action without vision is only passing time, vision without action is merely day dreaming, but vision with action can change the world."
5.) “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”
“Courageous people do not fear forgiving, for the sake of peace.”
We hope you enjoyed our latest SlideShare presentation!

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
