Cold calling leads to hot prospect !
The ITI staff & faculty asked us to address the 9.30 am assembly and you can see me in my
track pants doing just that. We came back the next day to address the 8.30 am assembly.

Discovery of Centres of excellence !!
Explore. Enlist. Enrich Bharat ka nirman, laye ShikshaDaan
• The staff and faculty of ITI, Mandi suggested that we should
meet with the Director (Technical Education) who was at
Sunder Nagar, just 20 kms from Mandi.
• An email to the Director got us a call within 20 mins and we
met him the next day.
• We found out that ITI’s in Himachal are centres of
excellence and other states are talking of adopting the HP
Model
• Nearly 150 Govt run ITI’s and 57000 students. Approx 10%
are from BPL families, the target segment for ShikshaDaan
• Most students get placement or they get self-employed.
For girl students, Fashion Designing and cutting and sewing
courses ensure they can earn a living from home.
The placement story
We visited the ITI Shahpur next and saw that the placement story is simply awesome.
World class organizations hire from ITI’s in HP. 64 students of ITI Shahpur for instance have
been placed in the Ashok Leyland campus in Dubai.
