Shelfari Instructions

1. Getting Started on Shelfari
Go to www.shelfari.com

2. Register to create an account

3. Enter your information

4. Follow the prompts to add your first
book

5. Search for the title/cover of your book
and then click add

6. Decide the status of your book. Then click on : I’m
reading now, I’ve read it, or I plan to read.

7. Add dates, or mark your book as private
or public

8. Click on the tabs at the bottom to add
information

9. Add a rating and a review of your book

10. Do you own your book? Yes, No?

11. Manage your editions & choose a
cover

12. Add tags and see tags others have used to
describe/remember your book.

13. Enjoy more suggestions of the same
genre of book or click done.

14. Congratualtions! You’ve got one book
on your virtual bookshelf

15. Continue adding more titles of the books you
have read and then click search.

16. Use the guide on the sidebar to update your
profile/set your reading goals.

17. Find friends on Shelfari with your
address book if you like.

18. Explore discussions about your books

19. Or, other areas of the site. Just click on tabs.
