To whom it may concern,
Reference: Shaun Krishna
Shaun has worked as a Student Ambassador at the University of Salford for over three years. His
main role started with him working on open days, and developed into him conducting guided tours of
the University campus for school pupils, prospective students and parents as he took on additional
knowledge and responsibility.
Shaun has also worked on our ‘Clearing Line’ in a full time role in the summer; answering inbound
calls and dealing with queries from prospective Home/EU students. In recent months, he has been
office based and working on our ‘International Ambassador Call Campaign’ which has involved
outbound calls and emails to our new students.
I have always found Shaun to be punctual, reliable and trustworthy – he proved himself to be an
invaluable member of the team very early on. He has both the ability to listen and follow instructions
and use his own initiative to overcome problems. He is able to communicate well with a range of
people; from his peers to managers, children to adults and has excellent working relationships with
all colleagues. He has always been willing to go above the ‘call-of-duty’ and ultimately, and perhaps
most importantly, he has always done an excellent job.
His consistent hard-working attitude has endeared Shaun to many members of staff across the
University – I have had specific requests for him to work on a number of high-profile events over the
past three years, which have always been followed by glowing reports on him.
Shaun is a genuinely likeable character and has proven himself to be a brilliant ambassador for the
University, his course and his country. I am incredibly sorry to lose him from my team, but I wish him
the best of luck for his career.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.
Yours sincerely,
Alison Brooks
