E-commerce has significantly impacted many modern businesses. EBay started in 1995 as an online marketplace for garage sales and now hosts millions of buyers and sellers daily without owning products itself. E-commerce allowed eBay to operate entirely online rather than requiring physical stores. It also lets companies like Dunkin Donuts, Coca-Cola, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Quiznos advertise globally on the internet and potentially reach more customers worldwide.
