7. INTRODUCTION
The concept of collective barganing was
introduced very late in 20th century introduced
by Sydney and Beatrice webb and great britain
in 1891.
IT is made up of two words COLLECTIVE
which mean “GROUP” and BARGANING which
mean “ PROPOSALS AND COUNTER
PROPOSALS”.
8. DEFINITION
Collective barganing is the agreement
between the a single employer or an
association of the employers on the one
hand and labor union on the others.
OR
Collective barganing is the processes in
which the representative of a labor
organization and representative of the
business organization meet and attempt to
negotiates a contracts or agreement.
9. NEGOTATION
Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more
people or parties intended to reach a beneficial
outcome over one or more issues where a conflict
exists
OR
Negotiation is a method by which people settle
differences. It is a process by which compromise
or agreement is reached while avoiding argument
and dispute.
10. PURPOSE OF COLLECTIVE BARGANING
The purpose of collective barganing units
is to
Protect employees from unfair practices,
such as mandatory overtime or firing
without causes.
Advancedment must be followed.
14. LAWS GOVERNING UNIONS
Before federal laws governing labor relation in
this country were enacted , disputes between
the owners of a company labor force were
settled by the judiciary branch of government.
