The Mechanical Departments of Gandhinagar Institute of Technology organized a two-day problem solving and ideation workshop to spread awareness about design engineering problems. On the first day, over 60 students participated and Dr. Dhaval P Patel discussed ideation, innovation, and design engineering canvases using practical examples. The second day, Dr. Ruchir Parikh concluded the session explaining how to utilize different canvases from idea generation to final product. Students found the workshop informative for their career growth as designers and developers. Feedback was positive, with students thankful for the knowledge gained on canvas utilities and entrepreneurship policies.

Abstract:
Mechanical Departments of Gandhinagar Institute of Technology of Gandhinagar University
had organized a seminar on " Session on Problem Solving and Ideation Workshop " under the
banner of IIC, SSIP, IPR & IQAC Cells on 20th February 2023, Monday to 21st February
2023, Tuesday at University campus. The motive behind this event is to spread the
awareness regarding design engineering problem by using practical tool and brainstorming
etc. The event was organized under the guidance of Director Sir of Gandhinagar University.
Objective:
The objective of the session was to share the information regarding how to solve different
technical problems of societies which direct or indirect effect on human being. By using such
tool and methodology, to solve problem and generate new innovative idea which fulfil
requirement of recent industries.
Program overview:
First day, the session was started at 09:05 AM at seminar hall A-105 with more than 60
student participants. Dr. Dhaval P Patel had initiated the session with the definition of
Ideation and Innovation. He further added that design engineering canvases and also detail of
it like empathy, product development and business model. He delivered some practical
examples of industries which give important of idea and how to feasible it as per market
requirement. Second day, Dr. Ruchir Parikh concluded the session with different canvases
utilization and how to help it from idea generation to final product.
The overall session was very informative and helpful for the students for their career growth
as a design and developer. The event was a grand success under the enlightenment of Dr H N
Shah, Director of the university and the participants.

I am very thankful to the University for organizing this event where I got a chance to interact
with expert and gain knowledge to be the successful entrepreneur. Also, I got the information
regarding the different canvas utilities and helpfulness.
