FIRST YEAR
MICROSOFT launches HOW-OLD.net
 Microsoft introduced How-Old.net, a
website to guess how old you are, at
Microsoft Build 2015 developer conference.
The site is way for Microsoft to show off
what it's working on behind the scenes, with
smarter applications that can use facial
recognition and huge amounts of data to
make intelligent guesses. Supposedly, the app
learns over time from the data everyone
uploads, improving and becoming more
accurate as more people use it.
How-Old.net isn't highly accurate, but it's
close, and it's getting better.
Using How-Old is easy. You can upload your
own photos, or choose from a Bing Image
Search.
INFOSYS launches youth banking tool
 The digital banking solution for
customers between the ages of 12 to 18, is
aimed at making banking a fun experience,
while giving them a sense of financial
responsibility.
This solution will give banks an
opportunity to expand their millennial
customer base, that is largely unbanked.
While the account holders will have the
freedom to operate the account,
transactions beyond preset limits will
have to be approved by the guardian
before completion . Banks can deploy the
solution seamlessly with Finacle suite of
products or any other third-party or in-
house developed applications .

NOW RUN ARDUINO BY
WINDOWS 10
Windows Remote Arduino is an open-
source Windows Runtime Component
library which allows Makers to control an
Arduino through a Bluetooth or USB
connection which will enable them to
extend their Universal
Windows Application with Arduino
commands. Developers who include this
Remote Arduino in their projects will
automatically have access to its features in
any of the WinRT languages (C++/C, C# and
JavaScript).
To setup your Windows virtual shield for
Arduino, after getting hardware, you will
need Arduino IDE 1.6 or better, ArduinoJson
library and repository as software
requirement. You just have to setup these
three software in which you need to create
some directories and copy some stuff here to
there. Next will be to setup your Phone or
desktop, you will need Visual Studio 2015
and Repositoryfor the device. Now you are
good to go with your first project.
THE DISAPPERABLES
Developed by Munich-based Bragi GmbH, the
Dash is a wireless in-ear headphone that looks
like a discreet hearing aid. Packed inside is a
music player, 4 gigabytes of storage, a
microphone to take phone calls — just nod
your head to accept — and sensors that
monitor your position, heart rate and body
temperature.
Nick Hunn, a consultant who lays claim to the
term ‘hearables’, reckons the Dash is just the
start. He predicts smartwatches will dominate
wearable sales for the next three years,
hearables will then overtake and, by 2020, will
account for more than half of a $30 billion
wearable device market.
APPLE WATCH HAS PROBLEMS
WITH TATTOOS
Apple watch heart-rate reading sensors works
on a simple principle of photo-
plethysmography.. But in a way, it really has a
simple explanation that your blood is red
because it reflects red light and absorbs green
light. So the watch will use green LED (Light
Emitting Diode) with some photo-diodes (Light
Detecting Diode) to detect the amount of
blood flowing through your wrist.
When your heart beats, the LED will absorb
green Light and in between, it will remain
undetected, so that will record in count and
you will know your heart beat.
OPEN SOURCE FRAMEWORK
FOR JAVASCRIPT DEBUGGING
BY MICROSOFT
It is a remote testing and
debugging tool for JavaScript.
Vorlon will help developers to test,
inspect and debug the JavaScript
code running on any device with a
browser. From any device, we
literally mean any device – be it a
game console, smartphone or a
fridge.
 It is a Node.JS application that
will run on your computer and use
a single line code for connecting to
remote devices and systems. The
errors will be shown on your
computer.
Microsoft released a new development
tool – Visual Studio Code – that works
Windows, Linux, and Mac. This is being
seen as a move by Microsoft to expand
its horizon outside the Windows
operating system world and a
continuation to its last year’s move to
make its .NET development platform
open-source.

The current Facebook Notifications tab is
simple and you get all the useful notifications
like comments, likes, posts from close friends
at a single place. But now, Facebook going for a
different type of notifications tab.
Now notifications will be filled with more
information and it is better to call it more
cluttered. Facebook will now start showing
things like life events, nearby places, trending
topics and more.
FACEBOOK LAUNCHES
ANONYMOUS LOG-IN
In order to give people more control over
their personal information, Facebook has
recently announced Anonymous Login and
Facebook Login. This feature enables users to
log into apps more privately, giving them
better privacy control settings.
 The Anonymous Login which is currently in
testing phase is expected to be available soon.
Facebook also plans to launch the new
Facebook Login feature, which enables
Facebook users to choose what information
they share with an app. It gives users the
option to uncheck categories of information.
XIAOMI’s NEW FLAGSHIP Mi 4i
MAKES ITS DEBUT In INDIA
Xiaomi has collaborated with manufacturing
partner Foxconn to manufacture a
motherboard that is one of the smallest and
thinnest found in a phone this size, making
space for a huge 3120mAh battery that can
power through 1.5 days of normal usage. THIS
IS 72% higher capacity than the iPhone 6
battery.
For faster performance, Mi 4i comes
equipped with a 2nd-gen Qualcomm
Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor,
2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of onboard
Flash. It also features 4G dual SIM slots.
With a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera
In a first for MIUI, Mi 4i ships with MIUI 6
based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The technology that Google is proposing is a
hybrid contraption that integrates the
spacebar with the trackpad on a laptop, or on
a tablet keyboard. Essentially, the trackpad
would extend into the space where the
spacebar would usually be, and "a top portion
of the trackpad may be profiled to simulate a
shape of the spacebar".
One or more spring mechanisms may be
placed under the region of the trackpad
designed to function as the spacebar, and
there could be a marked boundary that would
delineate the spacebar portion from the rest of
the trackpad.
