44. One day an expert in religious
law stood up to test Jesus by
asking him this question:
“Teacher, what should I do to
inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus
replied, “What does the law of
45. Moses say? How do you read
it?” 27 The man answered,
“‘You must love the LORD your
God with all your heart, all your
soul, all your strength, and all
your mind.’ And, ‘Love your
46. neighbor as yourself.’”
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do
this and you will live!”
29 The man wanted to justify his
actions, so he asked Jesus,
“And who is my neighbor?”
47. Parable of the Good Samaritan
30 Jesus replied with a story: “A
Jewish man was traveling from
Jerusalem down to Jericho, and
he was attacked by bandits.
They stripped him of his
48. clothes, beat him up, and left
him half dead beside the road.
31 “By chance a priest came
along. But when he saw the
man lying there, he crossed to
the other side of the road and
49. passed him by. 32 A Temple
assistant walked over and
looked at him lying there, but he
also passed by on the other
side. 33 “Then a despised
Samaritan came along, and
50. when he saw the man, he felt
compassion for him. 34 Going
over to him, the Samaritan
soothed his wounds with olive
oil and wine and bandaged
them. Then he put the man on
51. his own donkey and took him to
an inn, where he took care of
him. 35 The next day he handed
the innkeeper two silver coins,
telling him, ‘Take care of this
man. If his bill runs higher than
52. this, I’ll pay you the next time
I’m here.’ 36 “Now which of
these three would you say was
a neighbor to the man who was
attacked by bandits?” Jesus
asked. 37 The man replied, “The
53. one who showed him mercy.”
Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go
and do the same.”
54. Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me;
let there be peace on earth,
the peace that was
meant to be.
55. With God our creator,
children all are we.
Let us walk with each other
in perfect harmony.
56. Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now,
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
57. To take each moment
and live each moment
in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
and let it begin with me.
58.
59.
60. Praise God from whom all
blessings flow; Praise Him,
all creatures here below;
Praise Him above,
ye heav’n-ly host; Praise Father,
Son and Holy Ghost.
61.
62. Victory in Jesus
He gives us the victory through
our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Cor. 15:57
63. I heard an old, old story,
how a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me:
64. I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
and won the victory.
65. O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
66. He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
67. I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow’r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk
Again and caused the blind to see;
68. And then I cried, “Dear Jesus,
come and heal my broken spirit,”
And somehow Jesus came
And bro’t to me the victory.
69. O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
70. He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
71. I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about
the streets of gold
beyond the crystal sea;
72. About the angels singing,
and the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I’ll sing up
there the song of victory.
73. O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
74. He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
