Sequalitchew Creek Watershed Council

The Sequalitchew Creek Watershed Council was formed in 1995 to restore habitat and flow in Sequalitchew Creek, which runs from Sequalitchew Lake through Edmonds Marsh to Puget Sound. The creek was once home to salmon and hundreds of species but its natural flow has been impacted. The Council works to improve the creek through projects, education, and partnerships to preserve the watershed for future generations.

Steve Germiat from Aspect Consulting told the city council at their June, 2009 meeting that the city already doesn't have sufficient water to develop the future Sequalitchew Village. - the further drying of Edmonds Marsh eliminating the possibility of salmon restoration from Sequalitchew Lake to Puget Sound.  
  2. Beaver deceiver grant and status
  3. -although a signatory, the city ignored the '94 agreement and did not discourage Glacier from applying to expand their mining extraction          - any presentation of the Glacier application to a hearings examiners at this time would likely provoke a lawsuit           - in accordance with the '94 Agreement, parties are now meeting regularly to determine next steps.
