HISTORICVilla Finale
San Antonio,TX
A prominent preservationist left his home to the National Trust to become a
museum. The landscape he designed for the fineVictorian house was suffering from
deferred maintenance and years of overgrowth. I applied cultural landscape report
findings to the site, formulating strategies to revive the original designer’s vision and
prepare the site for visitor traffic. WithTBG Partners.

PARK & TRAIL Across MoPac Expressway
Austin,TX
Just north of Austin’s Town Lake, the junction of MoPac Expressway, several streets
and Johnson Branch forms a great barrier to pedestrian and bicycle movement,
while offering experiences of wild nature seldom found inside the city. Proposed are
a new pedestrian/cyclist bridge and additions to the existing trail network. In culvert
sections of the trail, video projections of rushing water on the floor give users an
experience they could never enjoy safely otherwise. Isolated areas under the free-
way ramps hold climbing walls for users at different skill levels.
