After many years in the property industry building brands and doing deals, we recognise that

The Team
Mike Walters - has been privileged enough to have worked with, and on, building many local and
international brands in the hospitality, motoring, beverage and property industries. He has had
many diverse roles in these industries – including managing, launching and marketing hotels and
game lodges, motor vehicles, the tyres on them, some pharmaceuticals, lots of beer, as well as
selling ‘going concern’ accommodation establishments, and property investments.
Mike’s exposure to the property market started in early 2000, when he started a property portfolio,
and headed up the Pam Golding Lodges and Guesthouse inland division. A move to Bidline Auction,
saw Mike sell every investment property at every Auction – an unbeaten 100% sales record between
2007 and 2010. In late 2010, Mike joined and tripled the size of Renprop Commercial as the
Divisional Manager.
Mike enjoys understanding the dynamics surrounding a property asset, the income, as well as
finding ways to unlock value, and is excited to be building the Sentinel Property Group as a modern,
innovative and solution driven business offering a creative alternative in the industry.
Spiro Barbaressos – has worked in the property sales environment since 2000. Starting his career at
Aucor as a junior asset broker whilst honing his skills in the auction arena, he quickly found his forte
in successfully selling properties by private treaty and auction.
Spiro has since consulted to the top auction houses in the country, consistently delivering and
executing high profile sales within the real estate industry. With an unprecedented sales closure rate
of over 95% in a career spanning over 15 years, he has been entrusted and exclusively mandated by
the private and corporate sector, listed property funds and financial institutions to sell off-core, and
non-core assets.
Spiro’s highlight sales include landmark properties like CCMA House, Rentmeester Office Park, and
The Colosseum in central Johannesburg, which sold for an auction record of R57million for a single
lot.
