Harry Metzler, graphic designer, talked about his his works and his
workshop.
After lunch break at we moved to the Bregenzerwald archive in Egg .
WE listened history of egg and we learnt about their daily life.
Some old photos and letters that Lady showed us were very impressive.
I really impressed because they are very different from my culture. It
was really good to see different historic remains.
Unfortunately we couldn’t visit workshop of Johannes Mohr due to
unorganized transportation.
Excursion 2
Bregenz:
We met at 10 o’clock in front of the Kunsthaus Bregenz in Bregenz. We
walked to the Atelier of Reinhold Luger, a graphic designer. He told us
out his works and we saw how difficult creating a poster in those years
when any computer weren’t exists. Also He talked about problems that
he lived in his graphic life and that he lived because of cultural
differences.
His collection was amazing .Probably we will never seen such a wide
poster collection.
We walked around Bregenz citycenter there was a local bazaar on Main
Street so we could see those different shopping habits of bregenz
people. We brought our meal with us and luckily we ate them by the
great Bregenz Lakeside .The weather was great.
At 2 o`clock we entered Festspielhaus. A kind lady informed us about
the organisation of the Festspiele and backstage.
Then the second part of the tour we were separated. We were sound
group. We informed about special sound features and specific for open
air stage. We met a guy who had worked with Turkish singers, and
bands. It was very interesting and surprising to meet him. He gave us
his mail address that we can meet with him at İstanbul.
We looked into the lighting department of the Festspielhaus.. After that
we left Bregenz at 4 o’clock. We loved this course because we had
chance to visit different places related this beautiful culture. We really
enjoyed our journey.
