This document discusses recording the condition and potential threats to rock art sites. Condition refers to the current state of the rock surface and carvings due to natural and human impacts, while threats are potential future risks. Factors like weathering, biological growth, and human/animal activity are assessed on the exposed rock surface and carved areas in terms of extent and severity. Potential threats from water, weather, vegetation, land use and access are also evaluated on a scale of 0-3. Standardized recording of condition and threats provides a basis for monitoring changes and informing future management.
