Percent (%) is a ratio that compares a number to 100. The word percent means “per hundred” or “out of 100”
To write a percent as a decimal:Divide the value by 100(Move your decimal two places to the left which will make the number smaller.)
To write a percent as a fraction:Rewrite the percent using a denominator of 100.Simplify if possible.
