The CEO, with the help of a board or a subcommittee of the board, and perhaps some outside advisors, can identify the weaknesses that challenge the CEO’s leadership competency. In listing those weaknesses and their internal and/or external ramifications, a development plan can be put in place to increase the CEO’s competency in areas of weakness, measure results and return the CEO to a level of confidence that the right person is driving the bus.

Why is shared information so important in a learning organization in comparison to an efficient performance organization? Discuss how an organization’s approach to sharing information may be related to other elements of organization design such as: structure, tasks, strategy, and culture.
Shared information is more important to a learning organization as compared to an efficiently performing organization because a learning organization needs transformation. Through the shared information, different stakeholders of the organization can learn different concepts that will enable them to be more effective on their contribution towards the success of the organization. On the contrary, the shared information is not so important to an efficient organization because it believes that it has achieved the best results. Therefore, there is no need or room for improvement. Learning organizations find such information so important because they can implement it in different departments to make sure that processes and activities are improved for the interest of boosting the efficiency of the organization (Michael, 2011).
An organization’s approach to sharing information is related to other elements of the organization because they need to work together to achieve a common goal. For instance, an organization needs relevant information that will enable it to develop the right structure that will assist it in achieving its goals. Additionally, the kind of information that an organization possesses as well as how it is shared affects the nature of the structure that is developed. Taking into consideration other elements such as strategy, the information shared in an organization affects this. For instance, the approach that an organization chooses to share information depends on the strategy in use. Keeping this in mind, it is noted that sharing of information is related to strategy.
What are some differences that one might anticipate among the expectations of stakeholder for a nonprofit organization versus a for-profit business? Do you believe nonprofit managers have to pay more attention to stakeholders than business managers?
Stakeholders in nonprofit and for-profit organizations have different expectations. The two kinds of organizations are based on completely different principles, and these affect the expectations of the stakeholders. A stakeholder in a nonprofit organization expects the organization to deliver the purpose for which it was established (Wolf, 2012). For instance, if an organization was established to help the needy, it should accomplish this objective. On the contrary, stakeholders of a for-profit organization have different expectations. For instance, a shareholder expects the organization to be effective regarding business so that he can realize increased returns f ...

The value proposition in investing in IT Leadership development:
Leadership is one of the important aspects in any organization. A good leader leads the organization from front to the success. The success of the organization depends on the performance of the leaders. But nowadays, many organizations have reduced the budget for leadership development, although leadership development is very important to the organization. For developing, training plays a vital role in an effective way. Along with all those, it is equally essential to articulate the value proposition for this initiative and experts have suggested the following elements for value can be achieved by implementing a leadership development program.
· Value: Every people and every organization perceive the value in different way. Those value can be achieved by successfully implementing the development program (Chase, 2016). Improving future and current leadership qualities are included on those development program along with improving innovation, business strategy, teamwork, decision making etc. After these values are understood, metrics can be developed to determine whether the program is successful or not.
· Delivery of the value: Human Resource and IT both are responsible for the leadership development equally. HR should distinguish the role of IT and Business so that they can move forward to achieve the organizational goals and objectives. The top level manages acts as a coach in both department where they share their knowledge and experience. Senior manager must clarify the roles and responsibilities for successful leadership development.
· Realization of the value: There are both short-term and long-term benefits in leadership development program. If the trainings are effective, then the result can be visible through behavioral change. The initial impacts of a comprehensive leadership initiative should be visible in-house within a year and to business units and vendors within eighteen to twenty-four months (Payne, Frow, & Eggert, 2017). Metrics is used to determine the success of the leadership program so this is very important. These methods can be used to demonstrate value to IT managers, who may be skeptical, and to HR and senior management.
· Delivery of the Value: Firstly, it is important for IT to determine what to accomplish with leadership development which will make easier to design effective program to deliver it.
Qualities of good IT Leadership:
All it takes to be a leader, in name at least, is to hold the dominant position in a group, organization or location. However, this is a very simplified definition for a what a leader should be, let alone what a great leader is. Because the measure of a great leader has much less to do with how we define their role and more about their actual impact on others.
The qualities of a good leader are divided into two categories:
· Personal mastery: This includes collection of behavior t ...

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
