CLEAN WATER
1. Clean water is vital to our health,
communities and economy. We need
clean water upstream to have healthy
communities downstream. Clean
water is important to achieve because
it ensure us a healthy life, gives us
agricultural & health security.
2. SDG 6 is ensuring availability and
sustainable management of clean
water by eliminating technical fault
of water supply, reducting the use
of DDT & ensuring proper
management of industrial
pollution.

3. Water pollution in
Bangladesh-
obstacle for SDG 6
• Bangladesh government has taken up a
masterplan to prevent water pollution, but
without it's implement it just like pretense.
The need for a comprehensive legal
framework to face the growing challenges
regarding conserving water, using less
plastics, controlling uses of agrochemicals is
widely acknowledged.

It creates different kind of health
issues.
People are forced to buy distilled
water which increases their
living cost.

down the sink
or toilet

8. Probable Impacts of This Action plan
Impact: How will these actions help us achieve the goal of SDG 6: Clean Water?
Water Quality Improvement: By avoiding the disposal of fats, oils, chemicals,
and cleaning agents into water systems, the risk of water contamination is reduced.
Preservation of Ecosystems: Minimizing the use of pesticides and herbicides
decreases the amount of these chemicals entering water bodies.
Sustainable Agriculture: Minimizing pesticide and herbicide use aligns with
responsible agricultural practices, promoting sustainable food production the
amount of these chemicals entering water bodies.
