WHAT DO YOU NEED?
1) Scrabble board
2) 100 tiles in a bag
3) 2 racks
4) A timer
5) A word checker
6) 2 Scoresheets
7) Clipboard & Pencil

 Each team has 25 minutes and 5 minutes overtime.
 No time limit for each move.
 Overtime, team will be penalised 10 points for each
minute. (MAX: 50 points for 5 minutes)

Only words in the Collins Scrabble Dictionary are
allowed. (latest edition; CSW21)
Collins Zyzzyva 5.2.0 (Offline) - Require Internet to
update the dictionary.

who will start first ?
 Manual Selection
 Each team pick a tile from the bag.
 The tiles closest to the beginning of the alphabets,
with a blanks preceding an ‘A’ shall start the game.
(Blank, A, B, C, .. , X, Y, Z)
 Computerized Selection, the one with an asterisk *
shall start first.
 When drawing tiles
 Must hold the tile bag so that
its rim is at or above eye level
 Show hand (empty) before
drawing.
How to draw tile(s)
 When extra tile(s) drawn
 Opponent will randomly choose X+2 tiles from the rack
and facing up on the board. (X is the overdrawn tiles)
 Opponent will then choose X tiles and return it into the
bag.
Team A starts drawing seven tiles from the tile bag
Team A put them on the rack
Team B presses the timer and draws seven tiles from
the tile bag
Team A places the tiles on the board (one of the tiles
touches the Star)
Team A scores double and presses timer (end of turn)
*** Team A is allowed to place the tiles on the board as
soon as the timer starts.
How to Start the game
 To complete your turn,
 Place the tile(s) to form word(s)
 Count and announce the turn score
 Press the timer
 Record the turn score - Confirm the cummulate
score
 Replenish the rack from the tile bag - 7 tiles on
the rack
How to place and score
 Right after your opponent has pressed the timer (it’s your turn)
 Call out ‘Hold, I want to challenge’
 Press ‘Pause’ on the timer
 Go to Word Checker (One person from each team)
 Cross check the score
 Press ‘Pause’ again to resume the game
How to challenge your opponent
* Do not wait until opponent has drawn the tiles from the bag.
** Do not rush for flash draw. Ask before drawing tiles.
 You play word(s) and press timer
 Your opponent challenge your word(s)
 If the word was unacceptable, you
 take back the tile(s)
 score zero for that turn
 press timer to resume the game (opponent turn)

 You play word(s) and press timer
 Your opponent challenge your word(s)
 If the word was acceptable, you
 record the score - cross check

 ‘Exchange’ any number of tiles at your turn

 Place them faced down on the table.

 Draw 4 tiles from the bag.
