As communications methodologies change and society increasingly turns to social media media for information, your agency needs to know how to effectively use these various communication channels.
Studies by the Pew Research Center, including the Pew Internet and American Life Project, show a large portion of the US population participating in social networks like Facebook and Twitter. And, they’re participating in these networks from mobile technologies like smartphones and tablets. These same studies and others show that newspaper readership is down across the entire spectrum: weeklies, dailies and Sundays.
Millenials, born between 1980 and 2000, are buying homes, raising families, and are major consumers of government information. They get their information online and they expect that any person, company or agency that wants to converse with them will do so online. Government agencies that are not effectively using social communication are, therefore, not effectively reaching constituents.
Using examples from Morris County’s social media presence, we’ll touch on a variety of social channels and communications tools to help attendees expand their social media presence.

Social media has become a dominant online activity, with over 1.83 billion hours spent on social networks and blogs each day, accounting for 22% of total time online. Key metrics include that 500 million people are active Facebook users, with 700,000 new users added daily. Twitter receives 800 million search queries per day and has 85 million tweets sent daily. YouTube serves over 2 billion videos each day. Social media has transformed how information spreads and has become a major force for influencing opinions, as demonstrated by Barack Obama's successful use of platforms like YouTube and Facebook to engage millions of supporters in his presidential campaign.
Social networking allows people to connect with friends and make new connections online by sharing content and interacting through websites and apps. While it enables worldwide connectivity and real-time sharing, overuse can negatively impact studies, health, and attitudes. Social networking provides both advantages like strengthened relationships and awareness of global issues, but also disadvantages like less real-life interaction, privacy concerns, time wasted, and potential for cyberbullying. Whether social networking is beneficial depends on individual circumstances and taking proper precautions with personal information.

LinkedIn is the oldest of the four platforms, launched in 2003, with over 70 million professional users from over 200 countries, and receives almost 12 million daily visitors.
Adapt or Vanish: 5 Killer PR Tips to Integrate Social MediaCindy Kim
Flashback: Remember the days when PR was measured by the total number of press releases, media clips and briefings? How about having to plead with your product management team to release something before the news dried up? Oh, and you might even recall that begging for coverage was tolerated. Back then, public relations was media relations.
Fast forward to today where the media landscape is dramatically different. Fewer reporters are working at the newspaper. New channels have emerged. New influencers of bloggers are taking control of the conversation and they hold more clout than some traditional reporters. Today, PR pros are taking on a new role and approach to adapt and evolve their strategy.
And your opportunities are limitless. PR is no longer relegated to drafting press releases and bylined articles. Today, PR pros support business goals, connect and support customers, amplify demand-generation efforts, and take social listening to a whole new level to move the company’s brand forward.
Cindy Kim will outline five killer strategies to help you make an impact that goes beyond just PR based on real-world lessons.
In this session, you will learn:
• How to use social media to build and connect influencers
• How to utilize social in your PR efforts in real time
• How to integrate social into your demand-gen program and outreach
• How to integrate social into your events to amplify voice and reach
• How to build listening mechanisms to support and energize your community
Social networking involves building social relationships and connections among people who share interests. The first recognized social network was SixDegrees.com, which launched in 1997. Popular social networks today include Facebook, with over 850 million monthly active users who share photos and connect through games and apps. Twitter sees 175 million tweets sent per day. LinkedIn has over 225 million members worldwide who use the site for professional networking. YouTube is visited by over 2 billion people each day. Instagram grew rapidly after its launch in 2010 and was acquired by Facebook in 2012. HCL Notes and Domino License Cost Reduction in the World of DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away

zkStudyClub - LatticeFold: A Lattice-based Folding Scheme and its Application...Alex Pruden
Folding is a recent technique for building efficient recursive SNARKs. Several elegant folding protocols have been proposed, such as Nova, Supernova, Hypernova, Protostar, and others. However, all of them rely on an additively homomorphic commitment scheme based on discrete log, and are therefore not post-quantum secure. In this work we present LatticeFold, the first lattice-based folding protocol based on the Module SIS problem. This folding protocol naturally leads to an efficient recursive lattice-based SNARK and an efficient PCD scheme. LatticeFold supports folding low-degree relations, such as R1CS, as well as high-degree relations, such as CCS. The key challenge is to construct a secure folding protocol that works with the Ajtai commitment scheme. The difficulty, is ensuring that extracted witnesses are low norm through many rounds of folding. We present a novel technique using the sumcheck protocol to ensure that extracted witnesses are always low norm no matter how many rounds of folding are used. Our evaluation of the final proof system suggests that it is as performant as Hypernova, while providing post-quantum security.

How to Interpret Trends in the Kalyan Rajdhani Mix Chart.pdfChart Kalyan
A Mix Chart displays historical data of numbers in a graphical or tabular form. The Kalyan Rajdhani Mix Chart specifically shows the results of a sequence of numbers over different periods.
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

Bram Verhoef, Head of Machine Learning at Axelera AI, presents the “How Axelera AI Uses Digital Compute-in-memory to Deliver Fast and Energy-efficient Computer Vision” tutorial at the May 2024 Embedded Vision Summit.
As artificial intelligence inference transitions from cloud environments to edge locations, computer vision applications achieve heightened responsiveness, reliability and privacy. This migration, however, introduces the challenge of operating within the stringent confines of resource constraints typical at the edge, including small form factors, low energy budgets and diminished memory and computational capacities. Axelera AI addresses these challenges through an innovative approach of performing digital computations within memory itself. This technique facilitates the realization of high-performance, energy-efficient and cost-effective computer vision capabilities at the thin and thick edge, extending the frontier of what is achievable with current technologies.
In this presentation, Verhoef unveils his company’s pioneering chip technology and demonstrates its capacity to deliver exceptional frames-per-second performance across a range of standard computer vision networks typical of applications in security, surveillance and the industrial sector. This shows that advanced computer vision can be accessible and efficient, even at the very edge of our technological ecosystem.
