Pupils from two classes at ZS a MS Ostrava-Zabreh visited the Interactive Technical and Science Museum U6 in Ostrava-Vitkovice with their math teacher and an assistant from the US. They learned about machines, engines, and levers through hands-on activities. Seventeen pupils from class 7A and 10 pupils from class 8 participated in the field trip funded by the European Union to the science museum for an interactive lesson on physics principles.
An Erasmus/KA2 project called "Ways With Maths" or "World Wide Maths" running from 2018-2020 involving 6 schools from 6 countries held its first meeting. The schools participating are from Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Iceland, and Greece. The first meeting was held September 23-26, 2018 at Geniko Lykeio Kissamou school in Greece. Teachers from the participating schools worked on planning project activities, exchanged ideas, and visited cultural sites in the area. They had a productive cooperation and are looking forward to the next meeting in November in Wetzlar, Germany.
The second transnational meeting of "The Learning City" project was held on May 22-23, 2014 in Uppsala, Sweden. Mr. Ali Rashidi from the Department for International Cooperation at Folkuniversitetet gave a presentation on the Swedish educational system and Uppsala Folkuniversitetet. Partners discussed administrative issues and planned further project activities. Mr. Rashidi said they were glad to welcome partners and hoped the experience shared would help the partnership. The Learning City project aims to increase knowledge of policies and practices around lifelong learning in cities and communities.

Stela Vesa is a Romanian painter born in 1946 who graduated from the University of Timisoara's Institute for the Fine Arts. She is a member of the Romanian Association of Professional Artists and has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group shows in Romania, the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, and Belgium. Her works are in private collections around the world. From March 10-28, 2014, an exhibition of her paintings titled "The Touch of Muses" was held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva to celebrate International Women's Day.
