Frederick Taylor's scientific management theory, also called the classical management theory, emphasizes efficiency, much like Max Weber's. However, according to Taylor, rather than scolding employees for every minor mistake, employers should reward workers for increased productivity.
Scientific management theory seeks to improve an organization’s efficiency by systematically improving the efficiency of task completion by utilizing scientific, engineering, and mathematical analysis. The goal is to reduce waste, increase the process and methods of production, and create a just distribution of goods. This goal serves the common interests of employers, employees, and society.
Scientific management means the application of science and scientific techniques in management. According to Taylor, “scientific management means knowing exactly what you want men to do and seeing that they do it in the best and cheapest way.”

While the principles of scientific management unfold its basic philosophy, the important question is how to implement these principles in practicality. Below are discussed the techniques as proposed by Taylor for implementing the principles of scientific management.
The Principles of Scientific Management are widely practiced. These principles result in cooperation between managers and employees that eventually develops into teamwork. Scientific management has made many significant contributions to the development of management practice.

F.W. Taylor or Fredrick Winslow Taylor is also known as the ‘father of scientific management’ proved with his practical theories that a scientific method can be implemented to management. Taylor gave much concentration on the supervisory level of management and performance of managers and workers at an operational level. Let’s discuss in detail the five(5) principles of management by F.W Taylor.

2. Frederick Taylor
• Father of Scientific Management
• Initiated investigation of better work method
• Developed an integrated theory of management
• Believed on scientific approach to management to
improve labor efficiency
3. Actions of Scientific Theory
• Collect data of each element of work and develop
step procedure for workers
• Scientifically select, train and develop workers
instead of letting them train themselves
• Try to achieve co-person between management
and workers
• Divide the work between management and labor
so that each group does the work it is best suited
for
4. An example is of McDonald's, as to how Richard
McDonald made the layout on the tennis court, and
made the staff pretend the motion of making
burgers. Eventually measuring time and collisions
to change the layout to find the perfect symphony
of efficiency and not a waste of motion. Also, the
sauce adding which earlier took a bit more motion,
but with new tools can be done in a single step to
increase the productivity.
