2. Scientific Miracles of Qur’an Kareem:
Islam was completed more than 1400 years ago and Qur’an Kareem was sent by Allah Almighty to
Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). In the Holy Book Qur’an Kareem Allah Has said many things and
mentioned many scientific facts which were not believed by many non-Muslims at that time but now all
world and scientists believe on those facts and many scientists are amazed to know that how these science
facts were discovered at the time when there was lack of technology. There are many miracles mentioned
the Quran Kareem by Allah Almighty and few of them are following:
 Creation of the Earth:
Today’s modern scientists and cosmologists believe that at one point the whole universe was nothing but
a big cloud of smoke called Nebula which was composed of hot gasses and heavy particles. Scientists
believe that many years ago that cloud began to contract and started forming planets, stars and all other
things in the universe. Scientists have now seen that new stars are forming from the remaining of that
smoke cloud with their telescopes and other resources.
All the stars we see at night and planets are made from that cloud of smoke. As Allah Almighty Has said
in the Quran
“Then He turned to the Heaven when it was smoke…”
(Qur’an 41:11)
As this verse shows that a long time ago Allah made that smoke out of which this whole universe started
to born. All the stars, Earth, sun, moon, galaxies etc. have been formed from that “smoke cloud” so we
can conclude that a long time ago Earth and Heaven were one connected entity and then out of that smoke
whole universe started to form and then were separated from each other. As in this verse Allah Almighty
says:
“Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity,
then We separated them…”
(Qur’an 21:30)

3. Many scientists are amazed that how these facts were known to Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) 1400
years ago without the modern technologies. Because these facts are found just 100 years ago by scientists
while Allah Almighty Has mentioned them 1400 years ago in the Holy Book Qur’an Kareem..
 The Expansion of the Universe:
In the Qur’an Kareem which was revealed 1400 years ago expansion of the Earth is described as:
“And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily
expanding it”
(Qur’an 51:47)
The word “heaven” mentioned here in this verse means space and universe and it is used many times in
the Qur’an Kareem with same meaning. Qur’an Kareem has revealed this big science fact that the
universe is steadily expanding 1400 years ago but the scientists have just found this fact a few decades
ago. Until the dawn of the 20th
century it was believed that the “universe has a constant nature and it
has existed since infinite time”. With the help of new modern technologies and science the scientists has
observed, researched and has calculated these facts and then has developed theory that
“The universe in fact had a beginning and that, it constantly expands”
At the beginning of 20th
century, Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann and Belgian cosmologist
Georges Lemaitre theoretically calculated that the universe is in constant motion and it is expanding.
This fact is proved by observational data in 1929 by an American astronomer Edwin Hubble that the stars
and galaxies are constantly moves away from each other which show the fact that this universe is
constantly expanding. This fact is mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem a long time ago but the scientists
have just a few years ago found it.
 The Splitting Asunder of “The Heavens and The Earth”:
There is a verse in Qur’an Kareem which shows the fact about the separation of the Earth from the
Heaven (space and other universe). As verse says:
“Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of
creation), before We clove them asunder, and We made from water every living thing. Will they not
then believe?”
(Qur’an, 21:30)

4. In the Qur’an Kareem word “ratq” is used which means blended or mixed in each other for the universe
which shows that before creation of heaven(space and all other things) and earth, they were mixed or
were a single entity. Then a word “fataqa” is used which means “we unstitched” to show the separation
fact of the heaven and the earth. This shows that the theory of separation of the earth is mentioned in
Qur’an Kareem long before science has known.
 Orbits:
It is a science fact that the sun, moon, earth, galaxies etc. move in their orbits. This fact is also mentioned
in the Qur’an Kareem as:
“It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, They swim along, each in an
orbit”
(Qur’an, 21:33)
It is mentioned in another verse that the sun is also not static but moves in its own orbit across the
universe. As the verse says:
“And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing”
(Qur’an, 37:38)
This fact is mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem a long time ago but the scientists have recently found that
the sun is not at the rest but it is moving with an enormous speed of 720,000 kilometers per hour in the
direction of star Vega in an orbit called Solar Apex. This means that the sun is not at rest but travels
17,280,000 kilometers a day approximately and all the other planets and satellites which are orbiting the
sun travels with the sun. They are all in their orbital motion which is set by the Allah Almighty and also
mentioned by Him in His book Qur’an Kareem. The entire universe is full of paths and orbits in which all
planets and satellites are orbiting. It is also mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem as:
“By the sky full of paths and orbits”
(Qur’an, 51:7)
There are about 200 billion galaxies in the universe with each consisting of its own star. Most of these
stars have its planets. All these heavenly bodies are moving in their precisely computed orbits and they
are in this motion from millions of years. The galaxies also travel at enormous speed but all these have so
precisely computed orbits that they have are crossed each other.

5. When the Qur’an Kareem was revealed mankind didn’t have the modern telescopes or technology to see
these distant things but these things are accurately mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem which shows that this
book is purely word of Allah Almighty and is a book of miracles.
 The Protected Roof (sky):
Allah Almighty has said in the Qur’an Kareem about the sky that:
“We made the sky a preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from Our Signs…”
(Qur’an, 21:32)
It has been scientifically proofed that the earth is protected by atmosphere around it. This atmosphere is
reason that life is possible on the earth otherwise without this atmosphere the life on the earth could not
have been possible. This atmosphere protects the earth from all the harmful rays, meteors and anything
dangerous coming towards earth. This atmosphere save the earth from the intense hot rays from the sun
and also saves the earth from the intense cold which is about minus 270° C. Beside of the atmosphere
there is a magnetic field belt, known as Van Allen Belts which saves earth from other harmful celestial
bodies. All these protection for us is made by Allah Almighty and He has also told us about these things
in His Holy book Qur’an Kareem.
 The Pairs in Creation:
“Glory be to Him Who created all the pairs: from what the earth produces and from themselves
and from things unknown them”
(Qur’an, 37:36)
This concept of “pair” or “couple” stands for male and female of any kind of living species. Allah
Almighty has created all the things in pairs. The statement “from things unknown to them” has wider
implications. One of implications of this verse has been revealed by a British scientist Paul Dirac, who
proposed that the “matter” is also composed in pair and was awarded Nobel Prize for physics in 1933.
This discovery called “parite” shows that matter is paired with its opposite: anti-matter. Anti-matter
carries the opposite properties to matter. This fact is stated in scientific source as:
“…every particle has its antiparticle ofopposite charge…and the uncertainty relation tells us that
pair creation and pair annihilation happen in the vacuum at all the times, in all places…”

6.  The Relativity of Time:
Relativity of time is a proved science fact. This concept was discovered by Einstein in early 20th
century.
Until then many people didn’t knew about the relativity of time and that it changes according to the
environment. Einstein showed in his theory that time is dependent of mass and velocity.
Qur’an Kareem has information about this concept as:
“They ask you to hasten the punishment. Allah will not break His promise.A day with your Lord is
equivalent to a thousand years in the way you count.”
(Qur’an, 22:47)
Other verses say as:
“He directs the whole affair from heaven to earth. Then it will again ascend to Him on a Day whose
length is a thousand years by the way you measure”
(Qur’an, 32:5)
“The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day whose length is fifty thousand years”
(Qur’an, 70:4)
In some verses it is shown that different people perceive time differently. Some people may feel a period
of time very small while other people may feel that exact period of time very lengthy.
As in another verse:
“He will say, “how many years did you tarry on the earth?” they will say, “We tarried there for a
day or a part of a day. Ask those able to count!” He will say, “you only tarried there for a little
while if you did but know!”
(Qur’an, 23:12)
 Proportion of Rain:
Allah has clearly mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem that rain is sent down to earth in a definite proportion.
As mentioned in surah Zukhruf:

7. “It is He who sends down water in due measure from the sky by which We bring a dead land back
to life. That is how you too will be raised (from the dead)”
(Qur’an, 43:11)
The science has measured the quantity of water which is cycled in rain process. It is estimated that in one
second approximately 16 million tons of water evaporates from the earth. This means that about 513
trillion tons of water is evaporated from the earth in a year. It is the same amount of rain which falls on
the earth in a year. This shows that water, in a measured proportion, is cycled from earth to sky and then
again to earth. Life on the earth is completely dependent to it and even if a minor deviation occurs in this
equilibrium proportion it will cause a lot of trouble on earth and cause major ecological imbalance on
earth.
 Darkness in the Seas:
As verse says:
“Or (the unbelievers’ state) are like the darkness of a fathomless sea which is covered by waves
above which are waves above which are clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other, If he puts
out his hand, he can scarcely see it. Those God gives no light to, they have no light”.
(Qur’an, 24:40)
Science has discovered that in ocean just after 200 meters light start to disappear and after depth of 1000
meters there is no light at all. Humans are not able to dive more than 40 meters without help of any
equipment in the water. Humans cannot survive at the depth of 200 meters without aid because of the
darkness and pressure of the water. Scientists has recently discovered about the darkness of the sea while
it was mentioned in the Qur’an Kareem 1400 years ago when there was no such equipment available to go
to that depth, which shows that Qur’an Kareem is purely a book of miracles.
 Embryology:
In the Qur’an Kareem Allah Almighty has mentioned how man is born in the womb of his/her mother.
Many scientists have worked on this thing to see how a human is born inside his/her mother’s womb. In
the Qur’an Kareem Allah Almighty says:
“We placed him as sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; Then We made the sperm into a clot of
blood; then ofthat blood clot We made a lump; then We made out of that lump bones and clothed

8. the bones with flesh; then We developed out ofit another creature. So blessed be God, the best to
create”
(Qur’an, 23:13-14)
In this verse whole basic procedure of man’s creation is shown and it was mentioned when there were no
X-ray machine, ultrasound machine etc.
 Seas not Mingling With One Another:
Study of the seas has showed many strange properties of the seas. One of the strange properties of seas is
discovered at point where Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea meet with each other. There is a barrier
between both of them which do not let the water from both sides to mix with each other. Atlantic Ocean
and Mediterranean Sea both flow in different direction. As Allah Almighty says in the Qur’an Kareem:
"He has let loose the two seas, converging together, with a barrier between them they do not break
through."
(Qur'an, 55:19-20)
Scientists have discovered that the water of Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean does not mix with
each other because of a physical force called “surface tension” which is caused due to difference in the
densities of their waters.
 Atoms:
It was believed a few decades ago that all matters are composed completely of very small particles called
atoms, which were said to be indivisible. But later on with help of new technology it was discovered that
atom is divided into three more parts called proton, neutron and electron. It is further discovered that
proton and neutron are made of quarks. Allah Almighty Has gave a clear sign about these in the Qur’an
Kareem as:
“Whatever you may be doing, and whatever portion you may be reciting from the Quran, and
whatever deed you may be doing, We do witness when you are doing it. And nothing is hidden from
your Lord (so much as) the weight ofan atom on Earth and in heaven, not less than that nor more
but is (written) in a clear record”.
(Qur’an, 10:61)

9.  Conclusion
All These science facts clearly shows that in Qur’an Kareem Allah Almighty has gave humans signs for
all things in the universe. As in Qur’an Kareem Allah Almighty says:
“And this is a Book We have sent down and blessed, so follow it and have fear of God so that
hopefully you will gain mercy”.
(Qur'an, 6:155)
In other verses Allah Almighty remarks:
"Say: 'It is the truth from your Lord. Let anyone who wishes to, believe, and let anyone who wishes
to, disbelieve”.
"(Qur'an, 18:29)
"No indeed! Truly it (the Qur'an) is a reminder, and whoever wills pays heed to it."
(Qur'an, 80:11-12)
These facts also show that no doubt Qur’an Kareem is purely a word from Allah Almighty and is a book
of miracles. We all should try to see all the things that Allah Almighty has showed in the Holy book so
we can understand this world and the other world too. May Allah Mighty show all of us the right way to
spend our life and shower His blessings on all of us ... Amen!
