2. “ I was a hidden treasure; I loved to be known. Hence
I created the world so that I would be known”
We started with one of divine inspired sayings of the Prophet Muhammad referring to
God’s reason to create this earth like a very big ship sailing in space in a certain
orbit with all necessary food and protection for humans on it.
God created this art exhibition-like-world to display his art consisted of 400 thousand
painting like species and universe to be known and acknowledged. Then,God sent HIS
messangers Adam, Noah, Jones Joseph Jacob Abraham David, Solomon Moses Jesus,
and the other prophets and last prophet Muhammed to be known and to guide
humanity.
The first human being and the first prophet Adam guided his people with Divine teachings.
Other messengers with the divine did the same wih holy scolls and books. The prophet
Moses led his people with Torah. Jesus Christ guided his people with Bible. And last
book Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammed; They all introduced God’s art to people
and guided them how to live on this earth well- equipped with God’s countless blessings.
Holy books like Old Testament, New Testament and Qur’an are to deliver the messages
from God regarding how to lead our lives according to God’s will! The Holy books are like
manuals for humanity NOT to fall into any temptations of Devil and to have a happy and
healthy life spiritually and physically! God endowed the prophets with miracles to convince
their people. Moses was given a miracle that overwhelmed the dazzled magicians in
ancient Egypt. Jesus was given a miracle that excelled in medicine and he could cure
people from incurable diseases. At the age of revealing the holy Quran, Maccans were
excelled in poetry and prose, so the holy Quran challenged them by its eloquence. Along
with eloquence and other aspects, Qur’an is also believed that God told about future
scientific progresses and discoveries implicitly and explicitly. Let’s see what Qur’an says;
Please while reading this presentation, just consider scientific and Medical developments
and level of the human civilizations in 600 AC, the time the prophet Muhammad lived in.

3. A. Astronomy 1. Creation of the universe
Then HIS creation aimed for Heaven which was still gas, and HE said to it and to
earth: “Come willingly or unwillingly.” They said, “We come willingly.”
(Qur’an: 41/11)
“HE is the one who created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. (Qur'an 6:101)
“Your Lord is God who created the heavens and the earth in six days and
established His Throne. God is the one who wraps the night over the day which
pursues the night persistently. And the sun, the moon, and all the stars move under
HIS command. Be sure that HIS creation and HIS command only belong to him. God
who is the creator of all Kingdoms is so Mighty.” (Qur’an 7/54)
The facts the verses point out today proved that sticking and separation are true whatever
details are like “the universe was ,at the beginning, composed of gas and later divided
into nebulas, or divided into systems like solar systems, or as the separation of a huge
massive smoke,” result is not changed.
Conclusion: The verses above that were revealed 14 years ago describe a highly
scientific facts and literally became an inspiration for scientists, by illuminating their
researches, conquered the future and kept itself accurate until today.
It is such a today’s scientific fact that was impossible to be known 1400 years ago.
The size of the universe increases as everything expands from this explosion of Big Bang.
The theory is that of an expanding universe, meaning that the universe as a whole is
expanding. Let’s see what Qur’an says about the expansion of the universe.

4. 2. Expansion of Universe
“God created the sky (universe) and keep expanding it continuously” (51/ 47).
This expansion, stated in Qur’an 14 hundred years ago, surely illuminated the science in
all aspects. Later Hubble published his theory, he went on to discover that not only were
galaxies moving away from the Earth, but were also moving away from one another. This
meant that the universe happened to be expanding in every direction, in the same way a
balloon expands when filled with air. Hubble’s new findings placed the foundations for the
Big Bang theory. The Big Bang theory states that around 12-15 billion years ago the
universe came into existence from one single extremely hot and dense point, and that
something triggered the explosion of this point that brought about the beginning of the
universe. The universe, since then, has been expanding from this single point.
“Those non-believers don’t acknowledge God’s creation that while sky and earth
were stuck to each other, we separated them and then created all the livings out of
the water? Still won’t they believe in ?” (Qur’an –verse 21 / 30)
Conclusion: With the introduction of the Big Bang theory, it became clear to Muslim
scholars that the details mentioned with regards to the theory go identically hand in hand
with the description of the creation of the universe in verses above.The theory states that
all the matter in the universe came into existence from one single extremely hot and dense
point; that exploded and brought about the beginning of the universe, matches what is told
in the verse that the heaven and Earth where once joined together, and then split apart.
Once again, the only possible explanation is that Prophet Muhammad had truly received
divine revelation from God, The Creator and Originator of the universe.

5. 3.Protected Roof and layers of the atmosphere
as a protection shield and pillars of the sky
In the Qur'an, God calls our attention to a very important attribute of the sky:
“We made the sky as preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from
Our Signs (of our creation) in sky.” (Qur'an, 21:32)
This attribute of the sky has been proved by scientific research carried out in the 20th
century: The atmosphere as a roof surround the Earth serves crucial functions for the
continuity of life. While destroying many meteors-big and small-as they approach the Earth,
it prevents them from falling to Earth and harming living things. In addition, the atmosphere
filters the light rays coming from space that are harmful to living things.

The most striking feature of the atmosphere is that it lets only harmless and useful
raysvisible light, near ultraviolet light and radio waves pass through. All of this
radiation is vital for life. Near ultraviolet rays, which are only partially let in by the
atmosphere, are very important for the photosynthesis of plants and for the survival of all
living beings. The majority of the intense ultraviolet rays emitted from the Sun are filtered
out by the ozone layer of the atmosphere. Only a limited and essential part of the ultraviolet
spectrum reaches the earth..

6. The protective function of the atmosphere does not end here. The atmosphere also
protects the earth from the freezing cold of the space, which is approximately -270o
C.
It is not only the atmosphere that protects the Earth from harmful effects of meteor. Besides
the atmosphere, the Van Allen Belt-the layer caused by the magnetic field of the Earth also
serves as a shield against the harmful radiation that threatens our planet.
If this shield were not present, life would not be possible on the Earth. The only other rocky
planet to have any magnetic field is Mercury-but its field strength is 100 times less than the
Earth's. Even Venus, our sister planet, has no magnetic field. The Van-Allen radiation shield
is a design unique to the Earth.
Most people looking at the sky do not
think about the protective aspect of the
atmosphere. They never think what kind
of a place the world would be like if this
structure did not exist. The photo shows
a giant crater caused by a meteor that
fell in Arizona, USA. If the atmosphere
did not exist, millions of meteoroids
would fall to the Earth and the Earth
would become an inhabitable place. Yet,
the protective aspect of the atmosphere
allows living things to survive in safety.
This is surely God's protection of people
and a miracle proclaimed in the Qur'an.
Another fact about the universe revealed in the verses of the Qur'an is that the sky is made
up made up of seven layers:
”It is He Who created everything on the earth for you and then directed His Will
up to heaven and arranged it into seven regular heavens. He has knowledge of
all things thoroughly.” (Qur'an, 2/29)
" Then in two days HE created the Heaven in seven layers and He revealed in
every heaven and own its mandate," (Qur’an 21/ 12)
In other words, God tells that HE assigned each heaven for its own duty. Truly, as it will be
seen in following chapters, each one of these layers has vital duties for the benefit of
human kind and all other living things on the Earth. Each layer has a particular function,
ranging from forming rain to preventing harmful rays, from reflecting radio waves to
averting the harmful effects of meteors.
“Don’t you see how God created the heaven in seven layers in harmony and
correlated with each other?” (Qur'an, 71:15)

7. “God is the one Who created the seven layered heaven in a complete harmony.”
You can’t see any disorder in it. Turn your eyes and look at it. Can you see any
flaw? (Qur'an, 67:3)
Pillars of the Sky and Space : In Qur’an, there are so many verses about astronomy
that we can’t interpret all of them at one time. We will explain only a few of them:
“God is the One who put up the skies without any pillars(support) then HE directed it
to heaven, and they keep flowing away in a certain direction.” (Qur’an 13: 2)
"Do they not look at the sky above them, how WE have built it and adorned it,
and there are no rifts in it." (Qur’an 50/6)
“God created the heavens without any pillars that you can see." (Qur’an 31: 10)
The verses point out that the standing of the skies (or universe) and their harmony are
based on such pillars that we cannot see. Indeed from particles (atoms) to solar system
there is an unseen power that provides connection and makes them stand up in a great
harmony without crashing into each other and make them hold together. This is the pillars
of gravity which is next subject we will discuss.
Conclusion: God informed us in the Qur'an of the world's atmosphere functioning as
a protective shield and this fact, which could not possibly be discovered without the
technology of the 20th century, is explicitly stated by the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.

8. 4. All are swimming in an Orbit and floating
of Solar system and Gravity
Modern science informed us that the moon is moving around the Earth in an oval, or
elliptical orbit. Also the Earth and the rest of the planets, revolve in oval, or elliptical orbit
around the sun. In Quran this movement is described as follows:
“And another creation sign for them is the night; We strip the day out off it and
then suddenly, they stay in darkness.” (Qur'an 36:37)
“And the sun another poof of (our creation); it moves on its designated orbit That
is the creation of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.” (Qur'an 36:38)
“For the moon, we designated some phases and some destinations and it circles
around them and changes back to the same shape like the old dried curved date
twig.” (Qur'an 36:39)
“ Neither sun can overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day. They all
float, each in an orbit” (Qur'an 36:40)
“God created the heavens and the earth for a reason. He wraps the night around
the day, and He wraps the day around the night. And He grants the sun and the
moon to serve you(humans); each moves along in a specific course. He is indeed
the Almighty and the Forgiving.” (39/5)

9. Furthermore, the verse implies that skies, the moon, sun and planets are floating away,
which is quite amazing. Another verse in Qur’an reads,
“The movement of the sun and moon is related to a certain calculation.” (55: 5)
“God is the One who created the day and night, and the sun and the moon, each
of that is rotating in a certain orbit.” (21/ 33)
There is also gravity in atoms, in solar system that keeps the planets in their orbits and on
the earth that keeps us stuck to it. Indeed, gravity is the essence of the harmony in God’s
creation. It is invisible physical ropes that tie the planets to the Sun and it does same duty
for atoms. Gravity in atoms or on the Earth around Sub is another blessing for humans.
We could not have survived without the gravity on the earth and in Atoms or in solar
system.
“And among his signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by his command.”
(Qur’an 30/25)
The Quran spoke of gravity fourteen centuries ago. However gravity was discovered in the
twentieth century. The Gravitational force helps connect the universe’s components so
they will not be detached or shattered. In 1912, Inestine gave scientific explanation to the
secret of the universe’s bond through gravity waves.
Conclusion: All of these verses inform that the sun, the moon, the earth and rest of the
planets are not hanging up there and moving on their own without having any order or
command! Otherwise these big speedy planets surely would have crashed into each
other; but they are moving in harmony and in a designated orbit along with the solar
system that also moves in a certain destination:
“The sun moves (in its course) to a resting place for it” (36:38)

10. B. Biology 5. Being paired
The essence of matter, positive or negative, or double and single features of matter
became the topics of the Qur’an as well. For example, the verse says,
“WE spread the earth and we did it so well. We created everything in pairs so that
you can think about it and learn from it.” (Qur’an 51/48-49)
“And it is He who spread the earth, and placed mountains and rivers in it. And He
created pairs in every kind of fruit. (Qur’an 13/3)
“We created everything in pairs. Don’t they look though the earth? We created
numberless pairs and raised them.” (26/7)
Conclusion: Quran had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our
modern-day scientific discoveries. These verses also point out hundred of thousands of
living things, animals and plants that are being resurrected in pairs every spring time in
front of our eyes. If we think over the species of all plants, they are like a colorful parade
that every spring, they blossom and die in the winter time. Briefly God mentions the
female and male features of all plants as well as human beings, from atoms, nucleus,
protons and neutrons to counter parts in matter, just to make us think about HIS creations
and Blessings and lead us to do researches on these subjects.

11. 6.The phases of unborn baby in Mother’s womb.

After developing the microscope in the 17th century, it was possible to describe the early
stages of the developing chick as observed with simple lenses. The staging of human
embryos was not proposed until the year 1942 by Streeter, and the stages as we know
them now were not adopted worldwide until a few decades ago. Referring to the
embryonic stages and the uterus, God, the Almighty, says Qur'an,;
“HE has created you from a single being, then made his mate from it. HE also
revealed to you that animals in pairs of male and female like camel, cow, sheep
and goat are fit to eat. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers consecutively,
in triple darkness; that TRUE God is your Lord who could do it. There is no God but
HIM”(Qur’an 39:6)
The (triple darkness ) in this verse can be logically interpreted as follows:
1. The mother's abdominal wall
2. The uterus wall
3. The surroundings of the fetus (placenta, embryonic membranes, and amniotic fluid)
Before proceeding in describing the embryonic stages as narrated in the Qur'an, it is
important to define the following Arabic words that are used in the Qur'an:
• Nutfah: a drop of sperm; zygote
• `Alaqah: something that clings; leech-like structure; blood clot
• Mudghah: a piece of flesh; bead-like segmental mass of flesh; something like chewed
gum with teeth marks.

12. The human being develops from a single cell, the zygote, which forms when an ovum
(Latin for egg) is fertilized by a sperm (Greek for seed). God, the Exalted, refers to this
process in the Qur'an saying,;
“And God made human’s offspring from an essence of a fluid, semen, despised.”
Then God portioned that offspring in the best suitable shape and gave him a soul
from HIS own spirit. HE gave eyes ears and hearts. You are not so less grateful
(Qur’an 32:8, 9)
“Was he indeed not a drop of sperm released? Then it became a small cell stuck
to his mother’s womb. Then his God shaped him up and created. HE created both
male and female from it.” (Qur’an 75:37, 38, 39)
“Surely We created man from such a drop of semen, (being able to merge with
ovum) (Qur’an 76:2)
The Qur'an refers to the origin of man as a small quantity of mingled fluids. The resulting
mixture (drop), composed of the ovum and the penetrating sperm, becomes a zygote.
The idea that development results from a genetic plan contained in the chromosomes of
the zygote was not discovered until the end of the 19th century.
It was not until the 18th century that Spallanzani experimentally demonstrated that the
initiation of development required gender products from male and female. From his
experiments, including artificial insemination in dogs, he concluded that sperm was the
fertilizing agent. The mixture of the male and female fluids was discovered recently,
though it was known in the Qur'an since fourteen centuries. In the following verse, more
details are given about the staging process:
“We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; then We made
the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (fetus) lump;
then we made out of that lump bones, and WE clothed the bones with flesh; then
we developed out of it another creature. Think about it deeply how Go is the Best
to Create!”(Qur’an 23:13-14)
This verse states that God makes the human from a drop into a thing that clings in the
mother's womb, then into a leech-like form that soon changes into a shape that looks like
a piece of chewed gum, that takes the shape of bones and gets clothed with flesh.
Indeed, the creation of the baby in mother’s womb is sufficient proof that Qur’an is the
word of God who created thd human with HIS Everlasting knowledge and Wisdom.
The Fetus Stage: The second major stage of prenatal development is the fetus stage.
This is a period of rapid growth and differentiation. At that time, the fetus is capable of
survival if born prematurely.
God says in the Qur'an; “From a sperm drop He has created him, and then shaped
him up in due proportions.” (Qur’an 80:18)

13. The verse above implies clearly that the nutfah contains the blueprint for the future
characteristics and features of the developing human being. This (drop), nutfah in Arabic,
can reasonably be referred to as the small sample of sperms extracted from the
ejaculated semen.
The idea that development results from a genetic plan contained in the chromosomes of
the zygote was not discovered until the end of the 19th century.
The Prophet did not study embryology, as he was unlettered! Neither did he have a
microscope to examine the embryo or conduct experiments on chicks or animals of
other sorts. Besides, in that age, there was no advance in Medicine and biology.
A human embryo at 28 days shows pairs of bead-like segmental masses that make the
appearance of the embryo similar to chewed gum with teeth marks!
Referring to this stage, God says in Qur’an;
“We created you out of dirt, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out
of a piece of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed in order to let you see Our
MIGHT to you. WE keep you in mother’s womb due to time WE will. Then we let
you be born as a baby.” (Qur’an 22:5)
Conclusion:
The verses about the phases of unborn baby are an overwhelming challenge from God
to those who do not believe that Qur’an is a word of God. No other holy book or revelation
from God to a prophet contains such information or explanation about embryology except
the Qur'an. All the above-mentioned verses are stated not only as stand-alone scientific
facts, but rather in a context of encouraging humankind to think and to believe in their
Creator who states overwhelming facts about human’s physical growth from a lifeless
matter to seed, fertilized ovum, embryo, fetus, and baby.

14. 7. Finger Prints in Qur’an
A man came to the prophet, with a dead bones and ask him O Mohammed, do you say
that God will bring me back to life after I become like this dead Bones. Then God replied
with this verse in the holy Qur'an:
“ Man, can ever think that WE will not gather and resurrect his dry bones after his
death? Nay, We are able to recreate you in perfect order including the very tips of
your finger prints.” (Quran 75:4)
This emphasis on finger print has a very special meaning, this is because every one's
finger print is unique to himself as we know; every person who is alive or who has ever
lived in this world, has a set of unique finger prints; that is why the finger prints are
accepted as a very important identity exclusive to the owner, and it is used for this
purpose around the World.
Finger prints are formed in the embryo at the fourth month, and remain fixed and
distinct all along man’s life.
Conclusion:
As a great creation sign of God, the finger print of each human being makes us think
about the resurrection day and how we will be resurrected according to our identity card-
like our finger prints. Finger prints are the best ways for the Police to catch the criminals
as well as another God’s blessing for humans.
Therefore, it is not surprising that fingertips are one of God’s signs that contain the secret
of His creation, and certify to the entity of the person without any confusion, thus
becoming the most genuine testimony in this world and the Hereafter. The finger print is
also a shows God’s greatness of shaping such lines on a very small space no more than
few square centimeters.

15. 8. Honey bees in Qur’an
"And Your Lord divine-inspired the Bee to build its hives in hills, on trees, and in
(men's) habitations, then, eat all the fruits so that you follow up the paths your lord
assigned for you. There is sweet liquid , with different colour, comes out of their
bellies’ that is a healing sweet liquid humans. Verily, this is a Sign (of HIS blessing)
for those who can think" ( Qur’an 16: 68, 69).
It is well known by almost everyone that honey is a fundamental food source for the
human body, whereas only a few people are aware of the extraordinary qualities of its
producer, the honeybee. As we know, the food source of bees is nectar, which is not
found during winter. For this reason, they combine the nectar collected in [the]
summertime with special secretions of their body, produce a new nutrient - honey - and
store it for the coming winter months.
Bees produce honey not only for themselves but also for human beings. Bees, like many
other natural beings, are also dedicated to the service of man, just as the chicken lays at
least one egg a day although it does not need it, and the cow produces much more milk
than its offspring needs.
“Bees play an important to balance un ecosystems. Bees are the major pollinators. If they
do not exist there will be no flowers and green plants in our world. The “Bee” movie is a
good example that shows us what will happen to our world without bees. Briefly Qur’an
always reminds humans of God’s blessings :
"And He has made everything in the heavens and everything in the earth
subservient to you. It is all from Him. There are certainly signs in that for people
who can think." (Qur’an 45: 13)

16. 9. Qur’an on Chloroplasts

God ordained that plants, people and animals receive their food from what plants produce
in their green factories.
These green factories are built up by the plant at the beginning of its growth and are
called by botanists “Chloroplasts” which contain the chlorophyll, which the Qur’an calls
“Al-Khadir” (green substance), where the plant utilizes the light energy and changes it
into chemical energy leading ultimately to the production of various kinds of grain, fruit
and other parts of vegetation that we see in gardens and fields.
The Qur’an draws our attention to these facts,:
“It is He who sends down water from the sky. With it WE produce all kinds of
vegetables from which We produce green substance (Khadir), out of which We
produce grains in clusters. And out of date palms come forth clusters of dates
hanging low and near, and We produce gardens of grapes, olives and
pomegranates, each similar (in leaves or shape), yet different (in fruit and taste).
Look at (and think over) their fruits when they begin to bear fruit, and (look at) the
ripeness thereof. Behold! In all these things, there are many Signs for people who
believe.” (Quran 6: 99)
In 1942 AD Meyer said that the original source of energy used by plants and animals is
the sun and that the light energy absorbed by plants is converted into chemical energy
through photosynthesis.
In 1961 AD Glass said that the most significant compounds involved in the process of
converting the light energy into chemical energy in plants are the pigments found inside
the chloroplasts or “pigment carriers”.

17. This is what the Holy Qur’an told about plants fourteen centuries ago and was
conveyed by an illiterate Prophet who lived in a desert environment among an illiterate
nation at a time when no equipment of scientific research was available.
The Verse of the Holy Qur’an could have done without mentioning the “green substance”
and nobody would have objected to that, except one that knew the fundamental role of
that substance. However, its mention implies that the one who mentions it knows well its
main role in the production of grain, fruit and all trees and vegetation. How great it is of
the Holy Qur’an to mention the truth and guide people on the road to find out the secret,
by saying:
“Look at (and think over) their fruits when they begin to bear fruit and (look at) the
ripeness thereof.”
Chloroplasts visible in the cells of Plagiomnium “Look at (and think over) their fruits
affine — Many-fruited Thyme-moss
God draws the attention to the beginning of the fruit formation and its relation with
ripeness whereupon no more fruits are produced because the leaves of some plants turn
yellow and their cells die. The prophet Muhammad, the illiterate Prophet, who lived in an
illiterate culture, at a time when the simplest instruments were not available, let alone
possessing the advanced instruments and research centers and laboratories in the field
of plant physiology that are required to discover these facts. The existence of this precise
botanical information in the Qur’an proves that it is from God, Who says:
“But God bears witness to that which He has sent down to you. He has sent it
down with His Knowledge, and the angels bear witness, and God is sufficient as a
witness.” (Quran 4: 166)

18. C. Geology 10. Qur’an on water cycle and
. clouds and rain
“Don’t you think over how God sends down water from the sky, then He makes it
flow into underground as water resources and stores them. Then HE produces with
it crops of various colors, then they wither and you see them yellowing, then He
turns them into dry pieces. Surely in this proof (of creation) there are parables for
those who has common sense.” (Qur’an 39:21)

“And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from
the sky, providing you with water. And you are not the ones who store it”
(Qur’an 15:22)
“Look at how God propels the clouds, then brings them together, then piles
them into a heap, and you see the rain emerging from their midst?” (24:43)

19. “And HE sends down water from the sky and with it, HE gives life to the earth
after it is dead. (After autumn, spring comes). Surely, in this proof (creation) there
are many parables for those who are wise.” (Qur’an 30:24)
“Vow on the sky that is full of clouds of rain and the earth cracked open to produce
the plants, This word, Qur’an, is a true word that separates the truth from the lie.”
(Qur’an 86:11, 12, 13)
“And We send down water from the sky according to due measure, and We cause
it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off with ease.
With it we produce gardens of dates and grapes which are very much useful to you
and you eat them too” Qur’an 23:18,19)
“It is HE who sends the winds ahead of HIS blessing, the rain . Then, when the
winds have loaded up clouds as if they were heavy. Then We drive them to a dead
land, where We make water come down on it, ,and with it We bring out all kinds of
fruits and crops.” (Qur’an 7:57)

20. “God who made the earth like a cradle for you and also created roads and channels
for you and has sent down water from the sky." With that water, WE produced
diverse pairs of plants so that you can eat yourself t and feed your livestock.
Indeed these verses are the proofs of Mighty God’s creation for people who can
think!” (20/53 -54)
It is so miracle that rain droplets descend on the earth separately. If they would not, then
would have died of flood every times it rained because the flood coming onto us from the
sky. So rain droplets do not merge while descending upon the earth. Muslims believe that
an angel to protect the earth from the flood descends each rain droplet.
The correlation, cooperation and help between earth and sky is so much focused and
mentioned in Qur’an and so that human beings can be aware of GOD’s blessings.
Conclusion: The scientific facts on water cycle and Clouds and Rains discovered in
Late 19 the century and 20th
century was told in 6th
century in Qur’an. Needless to say,
the prophet Muhammad could have known all these today’s facts about the clouds and
rains. Qur’an as you may notice that God is inviting humans to think/reflect or deem over
the signs and proofs of His creation at the end of the verses as the only race of HIS
creation, human being, who is able to think with wisdom and intelligent mind.

21. 11.The two seas that do not mixed
“He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together. Between them
is a barrier which they do not transgress” [Quran 55:19-20]
1400 years ago it was told the following verse in the Quran;
“It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet,
and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition
that is forbidden to be passed.” [Quran 25:53]
Until recently no one quite knew what this actually meant. But thanks to advances in
science we have now found out that there are indeed two seas, one salty and the other
sweet but even though they meet they do not mix. This can be seen in the Strait of
Gibraltar where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea meet.
A top layer of warm, relatively fresh water from the Atlantic Ocean flows eastward into the
Mediterranean Sea. In return, a lower, colder, saltier layer of water flows westward into
the North Atlantic ocean. A density boundary separates the layers at about 100 m depth.
Conclusion: God told human beings in HIS holy book Qur’an about a miracle to show
the physical laws of HIS creation 14 hundred years ago but willed to address our present
time to lead scientists to scientific discoveries.

22. 12. The shape of the earth
“After that HE shaped the Earth like an egg, whence HE caused to spring forth the
water thereof, and the pasture thereof” (Qur’an 79:30–31).
The verb daha' means "to shape like an egg," and its derived noun da'hia is still used to
mean "an egg." As this scientific fact may have appeared incorrect to scientists living
before the advent of modern science, some interpreters misunderstood the word's
meaning.They understood it as "stretched out" perhaps fearing that its literal meaning
might be difficult to understand and thus mislead people. Modern scientific instruments
recently established that the Earth is shaped more like an egg than a perfect sphere, and
that there is a slight flattening around the poles as well as a slight curving around the
equator. The verse surely proves us that the ultimate boundary of science through the
prophecy of Mohammed since at that time science was believing that the world is flat.
Isaac Newton first proposed that Earth was not perfectly round.
Instead, he suggested it was an oblate spheroid—a sphere that
is squashed at its poles and swollen at the equator. The shape
similar to an ostrich egg. He was correct and, because of this
bulge, the distance from Earth's centre to sea level is roughly 21
kilometres (13 miles) greater at the equator than at the poles.
The Qur'anic description of the Earth's geographical shape and change in that shape
are particularly interesting:
“Do they not see how WE gradually shrink the land from its outlying borders? Is
it then they who will be victors?” (Qur’an 21:44).
The reference to shrinking from its borders could relate to the now-known fact that the
Earth is compressed at the poles, rather than to the erosion of mountains by wind and
rain, of coastal areas by the sea, or of the gradual desertification of agricultural land. At
a time when people generally believed that the Earth was flat and stationary, the Qur'an
explicitly and implicitly revealed that it is round.

23. Closing
I myself conclude that in the light of the verses in Qur’an and their obvious and clear
implications about Science, we should conclude that the prophet Muhammad is either a
very skilled, talented, magician who could travel in time and see all the scientific progress
and inventions and travelled back in time as well to see all the life stories of other prophets
and wrote Qur’an, or we should admit that he is the messenger of God who inspired and
revealed all the truth about past and future to him as a last prophet and to warn humanity
about two divine truth for the last time:
1. There is God
2. There is a judgment day.
If Qur’an is a word of God, then, can we consider Qur’an as an updated Bible in terms of
revealed from same foundation?
Qur’an is like a diamond; each side reflects a subject about human being would benefit
spiritually and physically. That truth each side of diamond like Qur’an tells of it according
to the time and his listeners live in, through the eloquence of Qur’an.
“They don’t see that, we created some animals for them; they owe them. Some of
those (animals) are tamed to serve them; some they ride and some they eat. They
can produce drinks from them too. And they have more benefits from them. Yet
they are not grateful to God?” (Qur’an 36/71, 72, 73)
1400 years ago, the one who listened to the verse above would understand that those
animals are Camels and horses. Today we don’t use those animals to travel but we use
cars, buses and planes.

24. The rhythm, musical harmony and eloquence in Qur’an are amazing; in the verse of the
prophet Joseph, the word that tells of his being thrown into well, is pronounced as if one
falls into a well: The words used in Qur’an their eloquences are another exclusive subject
to be searched since they act like a key to the door for the meaning of the verse.
Briefly, Qur’an is a book of science, a book of history, a book of wisdom, a book of
prayer, a book of medicine, a book of Geography, a book of Astronomy, a book of
everything, wet and dry that exist in universe. And Miracles of Qur’an will be a shield
against all the accusations claiming that it is not a word of God.
“Known and unknown of divine treasures and the keys of Unknown doors of the
worlds are with HIM in Heaven. HE is All-Knowing about Land and Sea. Without
HIS knowledge, even no leaf will fall down. There is not a single grain in the
darkness of earth, nor is there anything wet or dry, but is in a clear book (of
Qur’an).” (Qur’an 6 /59)

“The Qur'an is not only a science textbook that has to expound upon cosmological or
scientific matters; rather, it is the eternal interpretation of the Book of the Universe and
the interpreter of all natural and other sciences. It comments upon the visible and invisible
worlds, and discloses the spiritual treasures of the Divine Beautiful Names in the heavens
and the Earth.”
“The Qur'an is the key leading to an understanding of the hidden realities behind events
taking place in nature and human life, and is the tongue of the hidden worlds in the
manifest world.”
“The Qur'an is like the sun shining in the spiritual and intellectual sky of Islam. It is the
sacred map of the next world; the expounder of the Divine Attributes, Names, and acts;
and the educator of humanity that guides us to truth and virtue.”

25. “It is a book of law and wisdom, worship and prayer, Divine commands and prohibitions.
Fully satisfying our spiritual and intellectual needs, it leaves no theological, social,
economic, political, or even scientific issues unsolved, whether in brief or in detail, directly
or through allusion or symbols.”
“Today, each scientific topic including the ones above that Qur’an brings up to the
attention of human beings is a miracle of God and acknowledges the prophet
Mohammed’s prophecy if we consider the time Qur’an was revealed. It was impossible
that 14 hundred years ago humans knew about the structure of atom, the planets’
movement, the earth is not flat but ellipse, the grafting feature of the winds, expanding of
the universe, the oxygen in the air is lessened as high as we go up in the air, the phases
of baby in mother’s womb?”

In conclusion, I tried to picture one perspective of Qur’an, Scientific one. Qur’an has
many perspectives: Medicine, History, eloquence, future events, Man and society like
marriages, inheritance laws, guidance to moral values, Healing book, prayer book and
connection between earth and Heaven like a divine ladder, a book of law that will lead
humans to solve human problems in our world as a last holy book and a book of warning,
a book of justice, and book of last message of God through HIS last messenger.
I will leave you alone with your own judgment whether Qur’an is a word of God or not? On
web pages, you can find out many ideas on it positively or negatively. The funniest one I
came across was that one smart guy, upon having no choice or being unable to answer
the verses in Qur’an regarding the scientific facts that revealed 14 years ago, concluded
that Qur’an is written by aliens. Distorting the facts to smear never works and it never did
in human history. As a believer in all religions and prophets, I do not mind that Qur’an is a
word of God since there are no logical explanations on those scientific inventions and
discoveries of 20th
century revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in 610 AC. It is obvious
that the prophet Muhammad as an illiterate person couldn’t have known all those said
scientific facts in his time if any and in future if God did not reveal them to him. I noticed
that God in Qur’an often refers to his blessings and asking us to think about them. Let’s
finish our presentations with a verse from Qur’an;
“In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of night and day, in
the sailing of the ships in oceans for the benefit of mankind; in the water that God
sends down from the sky to revive the earth with it after it had died, in all living
creatures whom HE gave life and scattered on the earth, in the changing the
directions of the winds, and in the position of the clouds between the sky to be
ready and the earth to be ready, there are many signs of God’s existence and
uniqueness in HIS creation for those people who can use their mind and who can
think.” (Qur’an 2/164)
