On Monday 14th January we welcomed back pupils by holding our first House Assemblies of the new year for Tantallon (Mr Hunter) Grange (Ms Anstruther), Lauder (Ms Gallagher and Sienna (Miss Pearmain). We revisited City of Edinburgh's Building Resilience Health and Wellbeing programme with a focus on the 'Have a Goal' topic and having a Growth Mindset. P7 House and Sports Captains shared their goals for the coming year and asked pupils to think about and set their own goals. Pupils have been asked to discuss these with families and share their ideas with staff, and also with P7 Captains if they wish.

21. AS WE GO NOW
As we go now, from this moment,
As we leave behind our time together
May we walk with one another.
May we help each other on the way.
As we go now, from this moment,
As we go into the future together.
May we treasure on another
May we realise how precious we are.

Why have goals?
‘Have a Goal’ from the toolkit
Having a goal helps to motivate us. However it is not always easy and sometimes it can very challenging. How well we cope with these challenges is based on how resilient we are.
