The Giant Panda, Sumatran Orangutan, and Sumatran Tiger are endangered due to habitat loss from deforestation. Deforestation is removing forests to clear land for agriculture, urban development, and palm oil plantations. Palm oil production is a major driver of deforestation and threatens animals like the Orangutan, as their forests are burned down and they lose their habitat and food sources. Over 300 football fields of forest are cleared per hour for palm oil, putting species and ecosystems at risk.
