To save a Word document, select the Office button and scroll down to Save As, then select Word Document. Name the file and press Save. Check the top of the window to see if the new file name is displayed, confirming it was saved.

2. Select the Word Document

3. The creator of the document should then select the name in which their file will be saved as (or known as).

4. The new name of the file is typed in. Then, you press Save.

5. To verify that you actually saved the file you can check on top of the window to see the file name.
