Raising Charities for Children in Tanzania for a Better Futurechildrensaidtanzania
The world there are families struggling to meet their basic needs. By necessities, the Tanzanian children prioritise food and shelter over basic education and clothing; the urge to get an access to these needs usually divert them towards a wrong direction of life.
I am currently the President of CSUF Students Recycle, where I mainly encourage students and communities to recycle. I pick up recycles from members and sell it at the local recycle centers. All the proceeds are donated to local Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa. I also raise money for Toiletries drives, Sleeping Bag drives, Trick or Cans Food drive (Collaborated with CSUF Volunteer Center), and other community services events to help out our community. In 2012, I was honor to organize a packaging event to support Vietnamese Orphan Kids in Vietnam. It was a movement to end hunger in our lifetime. 75 volunteers helped reach the goal to package 10,000+ meals on September 28th. Everybody was willing to work hard together to create a world without hunger.
One of my favorite activities is to volunteer at Orange County Park. I volunteer at Orange County Parks to help clean up, plant trees and maintain the parks which can bring lots more benefits for community as well as educating children coming here. Last semester, Daniel Ostrin from the Daily Titan talking our monthly Restoration Program at OC Park interviewed me . I was proud to represent Cal State Fullerton to volunteer at the park and we left a good imprint on Orange Count Community.

2. 21%The number of cancer
patients is constantly
increasing in Belarus. Over
the last 10 years the
number of cancer cases
has increased by 21%.
During 2012 more than 42
million new cancer cases
has appeared in our
country, the growth is one
3. about 230
Each year about 230 Belarusian families face with children’s
terrible diagnosis – it is cancer. They start a new life which full
of constant struggle for their child and fight against the
disease by all means.
4. The project aim is the financial help for children with cancer as well as
non-financial help. Sick children need support and care and not only
the treatment itself. The project aim also is charity.
5. 1) to provide children with high quality preventive, curative and
diagnostic means, with food and other necessities
2) to give additional work for parents in different social projects
3) to ensure social and psychological adaptation of the children with
cancer and to organize their free-time activities, their rest and
recreation, to provide them fully functioning life.
6. • It means that every week the volunteers will spend time
with children, organize their activities. Unfortunately, it
is not always easy because of the hospital orders.
• We are sure that there are a lot of empathic people who
have ideas and a desire to bring these ideas to life.
Fun, performance, competitions do the best to make
children free of hospital boredom and bad mood.
7. We believe that such events should be held constantly.
This way children can get used to communicate with
new people, get new experience. We will look for new
and interesting activities, and we will always be grateful
for the ideas and participation. We always need
volunteers’ help, and this help can be any as well as
immaterial or material.
Charitable activities is an opportunity for children to receive
financial supporting, to pay for expensive treatments and
operations; it is an opportunity for adults to express their
empathy; it's a chance for families to overcome children's
illness.
8. 1. Free time and a desire to help.
We encourage SBMT students for volunteering, students often have
more free time than a person who works. It does not need a lot of
time. Even two hours is enough to play with a child and to give him the
positive energy for all day.
2. Bank account to transfer money for children
3. Receiving office for goods and medicines.
These offices are necessary to collect products, office supplies,
medicines, or just gifts for children.
9. Benefits of implementation
The greatest benefit is of course the assistance itself and the
understanding the fact that you do something useful. You
know that you help children in post-hospital rehabilitation.
10. • It also influences a faculty reputation. School leavers often face with
difficult choice. Such activities increase the reputation of our faculty.
It may be a positive sign to choice exactly our faculty.
• Charity activity and the opportunity to collaborate with other charity
organizations
11. 20 years ago only 15% of children with cancer diseases had a chance to
survive in Belarus, today it is 75% of all cancer cases. Volunteers have
made a lot for this progress. We want to save more children's lives and
we ask all not indifferent people: let's help children together to survive!
